Backyard to die for

The house has a nice open floor plan. Great communications with property manager. Quick to respond and make sure everything was satisfactory. The backyard was the best part. The huge plant growth and palm trees make you feel totally secluded. The large custom pool was beautiful and added to the forest-like atmosphere. Has 2 tree carved Tiki's. We loved spending time out back. The kid's spent as much time in the backyard as they did at the beach. Highly recommend.

Beautiful home short walk to beach and pool

Absolutely amazing location, 15 min walk to 2 different beaches, 10 to the community pool and hot tub. House is beautifully decorated with a good mix of contemporary art and Asian antiques. Pool with waterfall is beautiful and private. The 3 bedroom home also features a guesthouse for. 4th couple. Plenty of room for an extended family of 8 (7 adults and one baby). Thank you for excellent communication and sharing your home.

Beautiful setting

The house setting and grounds were beautiful. The house was spacious and had good flow. Of course the pool was a big hit, we were in it everyday. Appreciated quick response to get propane for barbecue. The hot water in the second bathroom was not working well, mostly lukewarm at best. Also we were cooking in a lot and could have used some better pots and pans in the kitchen. Loved the paths to get to beaches. Overall a good stay and fun vacation for our family.

We were pleasantly surprised, we thought it was great.

Some of the reviews prior to our visit were way too critical and we didn’t know what we would find. Furnishing was nice. Much better than some vacation rentals. The layout was comfortable for our 7 adults. Large round dining area inside. Large dining table outside. Seating was comfortable. Yes, the smallish TV is low in a cabinet. We put it on top of the cabinet. WIFI was good. The kitchen is quite nice and well equipped. Spices, paper towels, soap for dishes and clothing, etc. Beautiful landscaping. We enjoyed the back yard. The pool isn’t heated, so we went to the pool in the development or the beach for swimming. Beach towels provided. Bath towels were nice. There is a crib. Short walk to beaches, though we sometimes drove. We saw turtles laying on the beach daily. Excellent location, all major activities within 30 minutes drive. There are small grocery stores close by. Safeway and Costco nearer the airport.

Revisit the 80’s

Great location and outdoor living space. The indoor space has tremendous potential but I don’t believe it has been updated since 1980. There is a mash pit in the living room! All living room furniture is uncomfortable. The TV in the main area is in the pit and is on the floor. Needless to say all bathrooms are old and tired. The electrical system is dangerous. Lights dim when you use a 1980 hairdryer in the master. I own a vacation rental property on Hilton Head Island and the condition of this home would be unacceptable there. Property management companies won’t rent a property in this condition on the island.

Poipu Stay

Loved the location of this property. You could walk to multiple beaches. Further, you could walk to other resort properties and restaurants and bars. If you want to go to the beach, it is a short drive. The property has all the things needed. There were beach chairs and umbrellas. Pool toys and beach towels. Coolers were provided as well. One of the cons of the property is that the hot tub is not heated. There is a beautiful backyard and the pool with the waterfall is gorgeous. However, the pool is in the shade and so unless it is very warm out we found it difficult to use. It was too cold. We were informed that the hot tub is a saltwater tub but it would've been nice if it would have been heated to warm up after the cold pool. The access to the community pool is great. The separate smaller house is perfect if you have family members wanting a little more privacy. My honest critique would be that the property wasn't as clean or as maintained as I would have expected for the rental price. We tied up and went to sweep the dining area and we were sweeping up food from the prior people who stayed there. We had to wipe down the kitchen counters when we first got there and the shower curtain could've been cleaner. It was black at the bottom of the curtain. The dishwasher needs some TLC as well. The small house drain really needs to be snaked. It was not draining, and a huge clump of hair was pulled out of the drain to try and get it to drain better. Yuk!

Great spot for large family getaway

This was a 3 genereration vacation (13 months to 70 years) and this property was the perfect setup for us. Plenty of space to get some alone time and a great gathering area for the whole gang. We had one of the screen doors fail and it was dealt with the next day. The only other small issue was that the oven was not working, but we were able to work around that by using the Bbq. Communication with the hosts was all you could hope it to be. All questions and concerns dealt with propmptly. Location is perfect for a quiet holliday.

Great house. Shows exactly as it is, no surprises. Great location and love the private backyard. The pool is bigger than it looked in pictures and very refreshing. House is very spacious. Nice AC in bedrooms. Kitchen is not stocked with decent pans for cooking.

Incredible house

The home is spacious and well stocked. Towels and chairs for the beach, two of which are within a short walk. The backyard has a private tropical feeling including a pool area with great waterfall. Great place for a large family!

Fantastic Stay at Loke Lani

We had the opportunity to stay at this property for 2 weeks in Mar/Apr, 2023. There was 7 of us in total and the main house and guest house provided us with ample space. The house has excellent mini split A/C units in the bedrooms and ceiling fans in the main living areas. Very comfortable beds. We enjoyed having two refrigerators as we ate in most nights and with 7 of us there was lots of food/drinks to store. The 6 burner gas stove made meal prep a breeze. There is also a nice Weber BBQ on the covered patio. The highlight of the home is the pool and backyard. So nice to come back to after the beach or touring the island and jump in for a refreshing dip. The outdoor dining table can easily accommodate 8 as well. The house has available a couple of beach umbrellas, numerous beach chairs and a very good cooler. Communication with the property management company was excellent. They bailed us out quickly on a couple of issues and were very helpful overall from the initial booking of the house to check out. Would highly recommend this home if you require a lot of space for a large family/ group stay in Poipu.

Nice quiet location

This was our families first trip to Kauai and we were not familiar with the best parts of the island. This house is located on the busy and touristy south side but it has a great location to get away from it all. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and the back yard and pool are very secluded and we spent a lot of time out there. The pool is deep and very refreshing after spending time at the beach. The neighborhood is quiet and very close walking distance to several nice beaches. After seeing the area we were glad to be a little off of the beach because it was nice and quiet. The property managers were very attentive and quick to answer any questions and problems we had. We had three separate couples with us and and a teenager, and the house was perfect because everyone had their own space. We would definitely stay here again.

Poipu/ Shipwreck Beaches on Kaua'i

We had an extraordinary stay! The property is lovely, beautifully appointed, and well decorated with all the furnishings you need, including games, and toys for kids! The beach house was nicer than the reviews, although I agree about the assessment of needing upgraded linens. We were advised in advance, but please note that the hot tub is not working and the main refrigerator needed some work while we were there. There is an extra refrigerator and a lovely laundry room. Great beds, lovely baths and very comfortable. We would go back. And great location!

Great location

We really enjoyed our vacation week in Poipu Kai. This house has a number of strengths. First off the layout of the house and the location. Also, there is an in-law/separate building on the same property that was perfect for us. We had friends staying in Poipu also, and the walkways were ideal. The agents were incredibly helpful to us during our visit. We hope to visit again someday.

Great location, lovely property!

I stayed at this property on my 40th over Thanksgiving, joined by my husband, our 3-year-old, my parents, our friends, and their 3-year-old. The property was set up perfectly for our group where my parents were able to use the guest house, our kiddos were able to share a room, and everyone had their own space. The kids room was wonderful - had a ton of age appropriate books that we were able to read to the boys at bedtime (would have saved me lugging a bunch in my suitcase had I known!) It also had a drawer full of some small toys - even though we brought some, the boys still really enjoyed the exploration and claiming a toy for the week. The kitchen was well appointed and we cooked half of our meals there. We appreciated there were two fridges as we used one for the many beverages we had. The beds were comfortable, and AC in each of the bedrooms that did a great job for sleeping time. They cooled our rooms quickly as we left them off during the day to save energy. Property management was quick to respond - within 5 minutes of arriving one of the kiddos walked into the screen door and the screen pulled a bit, so I wanted to make sure they were aware in case they wanted to fix before their next group arrived. Location was perfect! A 5-8 minute walk to Shipwreck Beach which was perfect to watch the sunrise for us jet lagged early risers. A 15 minute walk to Poipu Beach (or a 3-minute drive) and plenty of great places to grab food within a 10 min drive. A couple of things to flag - pool either was not heated or was not turned very warm. It was generally between 75 - 80 degrees and was a bit too cold for most of our party unless in direct sunlight (which is mid-day when we were often out exploring the island); the other thing was the dryer damaged several articles of our clothing which I flagged for management and they said they would have a technician look into it, so be wary! Lastly the property could have been a little more clean. It was still very nice but noticed a thick coat of dust mainly in the kiddo room on the closet door and on the baseboards. Overall great property we’d definitely stay at again. Would recommend!
