We had a wonderful stay at Hale Hapuna during the New Years. The home truly lives up to its name—the ocean and mountain views are outstanding, especially at sunrise and sunset. It was the perfect place to relax and take in the beauty of Poipu.One thing we especially appreciated was how well set up the house was for beach days. There was plenty of snorkeling gear, beach umbrellas, beach towels, boogie boards, and beach chairs, with enough chairs for our entire group. Having all of this available made our time at the beach incredibly easy and enjoyable. The nearby beaches were fantastic for swimming and snorkeling, and watching the turtles especially at Brennecke's Beach. The sunrises were amazing at the Lava Arch just around the corner. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a great layout for a larger group. It felt peaceful and private while still being close to beaches, restaurants, and shops. Communication with the host was excellent, and check-in was smooth.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Hale Hapuna to anyone looking for a memorable Kauai stay with incredible views and great beach amenities.

Great location. House accommodated all of us with room to spread out. Upstairs livingroom and lanai views were incredible. Entertaining our local family was nice in the spaciousness of the upstairs living and dining area. The curtain/shades in main house were mostly not working but we made due. Enjoyed ourselves and will try to rent again!

Perfect Stay

The house exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, well stocked and looked like it had recently been updated. We enjoyed the boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas and beach wagon. The outdoor showers were a plus. It was the perfect space for our family of 12. We plan to return. The property managers were responsive and easy to work with.

Hale Hapuna

Our family had a wonderful stay at Hale Hapuna. There were 15 of us and there was something for everyone, from the 3 year olds to the 70 year olds. It was a perfect vacation. Everyone enjoyed the walkable beaches, the beautiful views and the spacious living areas. We would definitely do it all over again!

This is a beautiful property, with unbelievable views of the water and the lush island from each level. There's ample outdoor deck space and windows and doors to open for a cross-breeze. The bedrooms and bathrooms are well-appointed and having a bathroom for each bedroom is a huge bonus. In the main house they are all ensuite and the Ohana has one in the hallway. In April, those from our group in the Ohana said with windows and fans they slept fine without air conditioning. The main house has a mini-split ac in each bedroom. We found the kitchen well-stocked for cooking meals. The furniture and rugs are a bit worn out and all the wicker makes it hard to get comfortable, but there’s a large dining table for gathering and lots of seating on the wraparound deck. The guest closet in the garage is stocked with toys, chairs, snorkels, bikes, and boogie boards. There are beach towels by the front door and a clothesline for drying. You can walk to Poipu Beach and a shopping center with a Starbucks, restaurants, and surf/gift shops. Big Save grocery store is only about a 5-minute drive away. We parked two minivans and a car in the driveway and could have fit another. Overall the house exceeded our expectations and we had a wonderful trip!

Perfect house, perfect view, perfect location!

There were 12 of us staying in this spacious house! Two bedrooms in the carriage house and four bedrooms in the main house. The best part is: every bedroom has its own attached bathroom! The top floor is an open floor plan with huge seating areas and the most beautiful lanai! There’s a nice walking path down to Poipu Beach with turtles, monk seals and the best hot dog stand ever! It’s also really close to a couple beaches that are perfect for babies and toddlers. I had excellent text communication with the property managers, who were always very timely and helpful.

Perfect Location

Came for a wedding and 15 of us stayed here. It was amazing. Everything they said it would be and more. For multiple families, it is perfect because every room has its own bathroom plus a bathroom upstairs for common area. View from the deck is mountains and the ocean. Location to Poipu beach was awesome!

Perfect home base for a large group in Kaua’i

My family absolutely loved staying at Hale Hapuna! It was centrally located, so that we could take a leisurely walk to Poipu Beach. The home was very spacious, and we appreciated that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Mostly, though, we loved taking in the view and island breezes from the second floor!

Lovely home in south Kauai

Beautiful house on the island with so much space and a great spot for our family and friends vacation. Overall, it was exactly what was in the listing except one bedroom was shown to have three beds, but instead only had two. We ended up not needing it, but it was misleading. Really appreciated the thorough instructions in the house and the communication from the property management. Would definitely stay again and would recommend this house. It’s STUNNING!

Photos don’t do it justice

I rented this as a surprise birthday present for my wife and invited 8 friends to stay with us. The home itself was beautiful, the solo rooms were luxurious and the larger rooms had plenty of room for lots of people and each had their own bathroom. The house was very clean and comfortable with plenty of space and seating. It was even nicer than I was expecting and the view was unreal. Photos don’t do it justice, the view was breathtaking. Amazing ocean views but the mountains we impossible to take your eyes off. The weather rolling in and out and the different shades of green were electric. There is absolutely nothing blocking your view and the third story wrap around lanai gives you lots of perspectives. You could honestly never leave the place and have a beautiful trip. The walk to Poipu beach was about 10 minutes straight down the hill. There were lots of beach supplies at the house too including chairs and umbrellas. It was everything we needed and more. We all talked about coming back in future years as our families grow. There is no other place I would rather stay.

Great house for a group

The house is great for a group, with bedrooms below and a spacious common area above. We spent a lot of time on the deep covered deck which has beautiful views, plentiful seating and tables and shady spots. It is walking distance to Brennecke's beach and Poipu Beach. Our teenagers could watch TV without disturbing others on the deck or at the other couch seating area. The dining table easily held all 11 people in our group. It was a great location!
