A very good choice in Chaweng

Perfect location at the beach and in the vibrant city. Very friendly hotel, with a lovely garden and pools. A bit noise from the nightlife around, and a bit out-dated rooms. Otherwise we have nothing to complain about.

We had the pleasure of staying in a villa during our time at Chaweng Garden Beach Resort, and the experience was outstanding. The villa was spacious, tastefully decorated, and featured a large, well-appointed bathroom. It was located just steps from the beach, which was beautiful, and the air conditioning kept the space consistently comfortable. A small private deck with two chairs provided a relaxing outdoor area. For anyone considering this resort, I highly recommend booking a villa. The value is excellent, and the comfort and convenience are well worth the cost. Friends who were travelling with us stayed in a nearby villa that included a private plunge pool in an enclosed courtyard for added privacy. Although the bathroom in that unit was slightly smaller, the overall quality remained exceptional. Dining options at the resort were very good. Drink prices were nearly as low as those found at nearby street vendors, and the food was consistently enjoyable. The breakfast buffet offered a good variety and changed slightly each day during our eight-day stay. The fresh fruit was excellent, and while the coffee machines were automatic, they produced surprisingly good café lattes and cappuccinos. Service throughout the resort was exceptional, and the staff at the buffet and front desk were consistently friendly, attentive, and helpful. Overall, Chaweng Garden Beach Resort exceeded our expectations. Having stayed at other properties along Chaweng Beach this was the best by far.

Decent hotel, but stay with issues

In the 2 days I stayed at this hotel, I was dealing way too much with an issue with my room door (the issue being the door wouldn't open and I couldn't access my room). This meant running several hundred feet from my room to the reception back and forth in blistering heat. Not a fun way to spend a vacation. They ended up upgrading me to a bungalow, but not because it's what I wanted. I actually preferred the room I had, which gave me more privacy, but they were sold out. Other than that, location is good if you want to be right in the center of Chaweng, and terrible if you don't. Rooms were decent, but the entire stay was ruined because of the constant issues.

Beachfront resort at the start of the good part of Chaweng beach. Centrally located near great shopping and restaurants. Pool, bar and restaurant area combined on the beach end of the resort offers a fun and lively atmosphere. Only downside was our room was on the Ark Bar side of the resort which it made a bit loud until 2am each night. And the staff would not allow us to have a second towel by the pool! Not the greatest of hospitality shown there. All in all though it was a terrific stay. Would definitely return.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was within walking distance to pretty much anything we needed. It was surrounded by the loud and busy nightlife but once you were back on the resort property the noise quickly faded away which was so nice. The beach was great, we found the snorkeling to be really good with plenty of fish to see. We were a family of 6 and everyone liked the breakfast. I felt like there were plenty of options and it was nice not to have to walk around and find somewhere to eat every morning. The rooms were modern and clean. The only downside was they occasionally smelled like rotten eggs or some type of sewer smell. Difficult to describe and we weren’t sure what was causing it but it was outside around the area as well. It didn’t bother us enough to do anything about it. Overall the resort was clean, staff was friendly and location was great. I would highly recommend.

It was our first stay at Chaweng garden. The manager was fantastic . We requested 2 rooms side by side at time of booking and received two great modern, clean pool view rooms next to each other. The pool was one of the cleanest and well maintained I’ve seen in Thailand. The staff are amazing and there’s heaps of them. Great resort and we will definitely be coming back.
