"This is a beautiful place and quite clean. They also have a cache of masks, snorkel, chairs and other beach items which is helpful. We used this cottage as base camp to visit Volcanoes NP. "Leo was a great host at Fern Forest. It is a beautiful property, very quiet and kind of out off the beaten path. The house itself is beautiful with 3 to 4 room with their own restrooms and refrigerators. The communal living space is awesome if you get lucky, you may be the only one staying there and will have the run of the entire house I will definitely stay again! "

"This is a beautiful place and quite clean. They also have a cache of masks, snorkel, chairs and other beach items which is helpful. We used this cottage as base camp to visit Volcanoes NP. It is a good option if you have a rental car. They don't call it the "Big Island" for nothing. There is a lot of windshield time when traveling the area. My only constructive criticism of this property, as well as almost all other VRBOs, is to reduce the unnecessary furniture, bookshelves, and tchotchkes that are used to make it feel "homie". The owners are really responsive and getting in and out was simple. Very, very cool place."
