Staff was friendly. Condo old & dated. Kitchen missing everyday items- no spices or oils, no foil or wrap of any kind, coffee for 2 days (we were there for 6), 1 wine glass. Musty & moldy smell in kitchen, bathroom & at headboard. Outdoor table broken. AC unit so loud you could not have a conversation inside or out when it was running. Condo was clean but old & grimy feeling. Worst condo ever rented here - will not be back.

Location and beautiful maintained grounds. We were unhappy with the lack of maintainance and cleanliness of our room. There was a moldy, used coffee and filter in the coffee machine. Also there was moldy dirty dishes in the dishwasher which was out of order. We also had no beach towels. There were also chips in the floor in the kitchen.

The room was spotless although the deck chairs could use an upgrade. The staff was AMAZING, making up for any flaws in the accommodations. We watched the staff clean and groom the grounds daily. The property was very well maintained!! The front desk also assisted us in a friendly manner.

Beautiful condo and beautiful property! We weren’t originally booked to stay here, our original accommodation fell through hours before leaving for the airport and we rebooked here very last minute and we couldn’t be happier with this place! 100% recommend to anyone and we will stay here again if we ever come back to Maui!

We loved our stay at Papakea! It was clean & quiet. Our room was spacious for two. We loved having a kitchen that was well equipped with the dishes we would need. The balcony was beautiful & we loved having coffee & dinner out there each day. There was plenty of parking at the resort. The resort was beautiful & had plenty of seating to sit near the sea wall or at the pool. There wasn’t really a “beach” on our side of the resort, you could walk down a bit if you wanted. But the views & vibes were unbelievable. There was food trucks & some restaurants that were walkable from the hotel. I would highly recommend staying here & if we ever came back to Maui we’d stay here again.

Resort grounds were great, clean and very manicured. The room was very clean, our unit had a couple issues like bedroom fan not working, and showers would not drain quick. Other than that everything was nice. It says online there is a gym but it is actually at the neighbouring hotel and it says for a “Fee” we never looked more into that. Pools were clean, lots of shopping around and the best cinnamon bun we have ever had just outside the property

We have stayed at this property regularly for over 40 years and we love it. The only issue we had was that we had reserved a ground floor unit. When we got there we were placed on the second floor. Apparently there was some major remodeling going on which made most of the ground floor units unavailable. It would have been nice to know this in advance.

The staff was wonderful. The view was amazing. I wish the pool opened earlier. It is open from 9am-10pm. Early morning swim would have been nice. But otherwise, it was just beautiful. Will definitely book again.
