My first time in Istanbul and so happy with the choice of hotel. The staff greeted us with a nice treat after our long journey. They brought all of our luggage to the room and showed us all the details of the accommodations. The room was lovely, very nice size with great amenities. It also came with a sizable balcony with amazing views of the Blue Mosque and sea. The hotel restaurant had a great selection of delicious meals and 360 view of Istanbul. We had our breakfast and dinner there. The location could not have been better, just steps from the major attractions. So happy I made this my home for a week.

Perfect Hotel to explore Istambul. Close to many sites and restaurants, but also with a tram nearby. Additionally, even if it is very central, it was very quiet and allowed a restful sleep.

We had a very short but excellent stay at the Sultanhan Hotel in Istanbul. The location is truly unbeatable—just a short walk from major landmarks like the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, which we could even see from our balcony. It made sightseeing incredibly convenient and added to the charm of the stay. The room was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate our family of four, though a bit of extra space would’ve been ideal. That said, the room had a beautiful, royal feel to it, with elegant touches reflecting local architecture and design. It felt both authentic and cozy. The hotel felt very safe and comfortable throughout our stay. The staff were especially friendly and helpful, always available to assist with anything from local guidance and taxi bookings to recommendations for shopping and dining. Overall, Sultanhan Hotel is a great choice for a comfortable, centrally located stay in Istanbul with warm hospitality and a touch of local character.

This is in an ideal location for all the main sights and also for the tram line which crosses Galata bridge to Beyoğlu and beyond. The room was good without being outstanding and the facilities the same. Breakfasts and restaurants were ok but could and should be improved for a hotel of this standard. Overall a fine place to stay.

Location is great. However the rooms are way smaller than advertised. Photos are very misleading. We were first given a dark dinghy room on the1st floor. The room size was smaller than 20sq m, with no balcony. We had booked a 30 sq m room with balcony and sea view. Plus it was freezing cold. It took them some time to get it warm AC was fiddly. On complainjng we got a much better room the next day with balcony and views on the 5th floor. Still tiny, but much more pleasant. Pillows were hard, toileteries poor quality. Breakfast was Ok Staff is friendly and pleasant

An unforgettable experience at Sultan Cave Suites!

From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, always ready to help with anything we needed — from restaurant recommendations to hot air balloon bookings. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated in traditional Cappadocian style. But the real highlight was the terrace — with its breathtaking panoramic view over Göreme, it’s truly the best place to watch the sunrise and the hot air balloons floating in the sky. Breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of fresh, local ingredients served with a view that’s simply priceless. If you’re planning a trip to Cappadocia and want a perfect mix of comfort, style, and unforgettable views, Sultan Cave Suites is absolutely worth it!

Great Place to stay with Family

I had a wonderful experience at Sultanhan Hotel, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Turkey, especially if you want to stay close to the historic Sultanahmet district. The location is unbeatable — I was able to walk to the Blue Mosque for prayer with ease, and other major attractions like Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar were just a short stroll away. The rooftop restaurant was another highlight. It offers not only delicious food but also stunning views. The breakfast buffet was full of variety and fresh options, and we also enjoyed lunch and dinner there a couple of times — definitely worth it! The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The receptionist went above and beyond to help us book tickets for a Bosphorus boat ride and the traditional Dervish dance performance, which made our trip even more memorable. Overall, Sultanhan Hotel combined comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality — everything you’d want for a trip to Istanbul. I’d gladly stay here again!
