The host cancelled on us about 7 hours prior to check in due to an "emergency" but couldn't communicate what that emergency was when we were on the phone. Prior to that, the communication was inconsistent about whether or not we could actually stay there. We would receive one message on the phone and the other via text (all over a 4 hour period of time). This was incredibly frustrating. We had tickets to the tennis tournament and everything else was pretty much booked, causing a massive amount of stress. VRBO ended up helping us but took hours and multiple emails/phone calls.
