Great resort ***for the price***. Staff is great and will bend over backwards to make sure you have a great stay. If you decide to stay here, you will enjoy it, and you'll be glad you did, especially when you look at what you didn't spend at a more expensive resort.
Also, the immediate area is very walkable and quite pleasant. Easy access to pharmacies, Carrefour, and the usual resort clothing/souvenir shops.
That said, maintainance/upkeep is a bit of an issue. "Weardownables" like towels, sheets, the poolside chaise lounge pads...all seem old and in need of replacement.
Our biggest issue was the lack of variety at the main restaurants. You can make a reservation at the small restaurant venues in the resort (some have an upcharge) but the two main restaurants pretty much serve the same stuff every day, and it's not particularly tasty. After the first four days, we found ourselves going into Hurghada to other restaurants. Hurghada isnt expensive and it's close by Uber, so this wasn't a huge issue; just saying you're not going to get cruise ship variety and quality here.
