Enjoy comfortability on the main level with a cozy open-concept living and dining room bathed in the natural lighting of floor-to-ceiling windows! Cook to your heart's desire with our fully functional kitchen*. Cozy up in Bedroom #1 with two twin-size beds, decorated to satisfy any age traveler and snuggle in to watch a movie on the Smart TV! Freshen up in Bathroom #1 with a walk-in shower, or throw a load of laundry in the washer and dryer.

Journey upstairs to find Bedrooms #2 and #3! Bedroom #2 has a comfortable King bed with Smart TV access to Dish, Netflix, & Hulu while Bedroom #3 has a cozy queen bed with Smart TV access to Netflix & Hulu. Enjoy convenience to Bathroom #2 - situated perfectly between the two bedrooms!

We recommend that all guest purchase travel insurance. We do not accept guest alterations within two weeks of the reservation.

All roads leading to "The Little Red Barn" are paved and maintained.

While they do not happen often at all sometimes being in the mountains we will loose power or internet. However both of those are out of our control. We do not give refunds for power, weather or internet outages. If there would happen to be a power or internet outage please reach out to us immediately and we will get in touch with the internet and power companies right away.

4x4 is not required to access the property at all except in cases of snow.

While we do our best to inform our guest about upcoming winter weather it is smart to always keep the weather checked while coming to the mountains in the winter. If you would happen to get your vehicle stuck in the snow or ice the guest are responsible for paying a towing company to pull them out. We will gladly give you recommendations on who to use.

We had a lovely time during our stay at the Little Red Barn. It's so cozy and comfortable. The sunrise view out the back windows is spectacular. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We have a pickup and the parking area was very easy to drive in and out. We came in after dark and the automatic lights provided plenty of light to unload. The owners are so welcoming and checked in to make sure we didn't need anything. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

Red barn adventure

Nice, comfortable, cozy cabin with beautiful views/deck with comfy furniture. Communication & checkin great. We had frustration driving out of & back to the cabin when visiting local towns. (Mason Jar, Hillsville, very good, crabcakes, cod sandwich yummy!)GPS & other sources helped, but there was a lot of rerouting & changes in directions as we traveled the winding roads. If there longer, maybe we’d figure things out better.If a wine drinker, pack a good wine opener. Kitchen is very well equipped, plenty of towels, blankets.

Perfect weekend family getaway

We had a great weekend! House was just what we needed and exceeded our expectations. We visited Mt Airy and Mt Pilot and even took a ride around in a replica Sheriffs car in “”Mayberry.” We took advice on eating at Little Richard’s BBQ and it was delicious. Hit a few of the other ma and pa restaurants and shops as well. The house and area was enough to keep our family of 6 well entertained and excited for our next trip to the mountains in the Fall.

A little piece of heaven

The place was impecable and the view unforgettable. The reason for my stay was to write/compose music with my producer and music partner. We had an amazing time, achieved all we came out to do, and also enjoyed a game of tennis. We would have played basketball too but the weather was too hot for it during our short stay. I will personally rebook this place several times because I need the inspiration that the house creates for my artistry. The hosts were wonderful.

There are nothing but great things to say about this property. It was perfect for a long weekend getaway. Gorgeous view and house..

Our stay at the Little Red Barn was amazing! We visited the area for a quick weekend trip to golf at Primland. The house was right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Only a 30 minute drive to the golf course and restaurants in the area. Check-in was super easy with a code and electronic lock. We walked into a clean house and gorgeous views! You have to check out the sunset from the deck! The beds were comfy and linens and towels were provided. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and will definitely be back!

Relaxing and Beautiful View Cabin

This cabin was absolutely beautiful and cozy. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with the basics. My husband, sister and brother-in-law had a wonderful time on the deck sitting, talking, relaxing and grilling. The view was amazing. We could have not chosen a better cabin for Labor Day weekend. Great cottage right off the parkways. The cottage pictures are accurate and the place is very well maintained and comfortable. Location is in the heart of southwest Virginia not far from many small interesting towns and outdoor activities. Highly recommended !

Perfect Getaway!

Our family stayed at The Little Red Barn for 4 nights and it was the perfect getaway! The house was beautiful, clean and easy to access - no steep mountain roads. The views from this house are AMAZING! The kitchen was well stocked, the bathrooms are updated, the beds were comfortable and the fireplace was perfect at night. LOVED this gorgeous Virginia mountain view from the deck, while cooking on the grill, in the kitchen, at the dining room table, from the living room, up the stairs, to the loft. Absolutely stunning view!! This was the perfect place for us to get away for the weekend to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We spent most of our time on large, renovated deck. This gorgeous, well-appointed home is equipped with upscale finishes and appliances, including everything for us to enjoy every meal together. Very clean and we felt at home immediately. Our only complaints are we were looking for privacy on the deck. The neighboring home has a bay window looks directly onto the deck. Most importantly, the beds are incredibly uncomfortable with spring mattresses. Everything else about this property exceeded expectations. Would love to bring our family back in the future. Birthday get away for my mom

Quick family trip for my mom’s 82nd birthday(group of 6).. This place was absolutely gorgeous!! Home was very clean and had the most beautiful views! I definitely recommend this place and will definitely be back. Google maps took us straight to property with no issues. The only thing I found missing was a can opener (I could have over looked it) but I couldn’t find one anywhere. I have no complaints! We take numerous trips throughout the year via VRBO and this is probably my favorite place that I have stayed.. Love It.. also easy access for vehicles , no major steep hills 😊
