One of a Kind, Perfect Mountain Retreat on 750 private acres

This is a one of kind unique mountain lodge retreat. The amenities of this upscale property are abundant. The lodge has 5 and 1/2 bathrooms. An indoor/outdoor gas fireplace share the same wall in the great room that leads to the deck. A large kitchen is ready for any function. An in ground hot tub that would resemble a small pool is located off the back deck. A water feature adds to the wonderful sounds of nature. All wheel drive are needed for winter months.
This is a one of a kind mountain lodge retreat like no other. It is not often that you can find a home like this with your own 750 acres of private hiking and fishing with all the amenities of this upscale property. Whether you are a large group or just like a large house this mountain ranch has something for everyone. The home has 6 bedrooms that have spots for up to 14 or more, king beds to queen beds to twins and day beds, there is room for all ages. There is also a 7th bedroom which is not a legal one so it is not counted as one. The lodge has 5 and 1/2 bathrooms. An indoor/outdoor gas fireplace share the same wall in the great room that leads to the deck. A large modern kitchen is ready for any function and is well equipped. If you are ready for a grill-off or just want to grill outdoors, two twin gas grills are ready for your use on the deck. An in ground hot tub that would resemble a small pool is located off the back deck. A water feature adds to the wonderful sounds of nature. For added fun you can play a game on the bocci ball court or throw some horse shoes. There is a game room in the barn that has a pool table, foosball, pop- a- shot and air hockey. The owners of this property also own the ranch next door which can be added if you need more space. It sleeps 8 more. This property is within 1/2 mile of the lodge and it is all on private land. We plow the road but you will need an all wheel drive vehicle in the winter months.
This ranch is an amazing place with things to do that you would never find at a normal vacation rental. 5 ponds with natural water rolling threw the ranch. Each property has its own exclusive pond which are stocked with fish. There is also 1 other common pond stocked and 2 others ponds that are not. Wildlife can be found everywhere and its hard to not see deer and elk enjoying the ranch. We have are own hiking trails on the ranch which are open threw out the 750 acres. Also national forest access is very near by with more hiking and exploring opportunities.
Taking care of this ranch is my full time job and I am around during the work week and occasional on weekends. 
I have a welcome guide that explains all the National Forest is nearby and hiking, rafting, tubing, skiing, horseback ridding, and much more.

Great stay

House is great, Property is amazing. Eight people visited for a golf and fishing weekend. House was quiet, clean, and had plenty of room for all eight of us. Hot tub and fire pit area were wonderful, but we spent most of our time enjoying the beautiful views from the deck.

You don't stumble on this type of property often

We had a great trip to this property with a large group of friends. We had no reason to leave this property as it was gorgeous and between the hot tub, lawn games, ponds, and beautiful backdrop, we had everything we needed. This is a great property for a large group to enjoy each other and have nature right at their fingertips. This was the second time we stayed at this home and will likely be back again in the future.

Fantastic VRBO!

This property is absolutely breathtaking. We were there to do a wedding styled shoot and it was perfect. The lodge is clean and so nice. The pictures don't do this place justice. Its quiet, lots of wildlife, 3 ponds, views for days and nobody else in sight. It was perfect for us. It is a bit difficult to find but if you follow the written directions given by the host you'll get there no problem. I have zero complaints and highly recommend it!!

Excellent place for making amazing memories

We brought our family ages 9 months to 77years…was a perfect fit for us! Beautiful views and lots of space to roam! Kids loved the ‘pool’, going fishing at the ponds, and playing with the games and toys. We all enjoyed the game room, had a bocce ball tournament and loved the kayaking and paddle boarding! Lots of great family time and wonderful memories made!

Beautiful scenic property

The lodge was an amazing scenic view to wake up to in the morning and enjoy on the deck at night under the stars. There are so many amenities that we weren’t expecting and we came over prepared. The hot tub is large and a nice way to end the day. We loved having such a beautiful view and the sound of hummingbirds during the day. Not having to travel while enjoying the company of family and friends made for memorable trip.

Unbeatable view

Amazing home, beautiful view, and just all-around awesome place to gather! Our group came from 3 different states to get together. Jeff & Roslyn were wonderful, easy to contact and always willing to help out! Sunrises and sunsets were magnificent. Some of the beds were firmer than others, we switched around. The home is isolated in top of a mountain, which we loved, but going anywhere from the house, add on a half hour to the directions just to get down the mountain. I highly recommend this mountaintop oasis! (No need to bring condiments, spices or coffee filters! 😁)

Beautiful Property

Highly recommend staying here. The property is just as described and in the pictures. Beautiful scenery and the staff is super helpful. The winter months are amazing and the mountain is full of fun thins to do. Super clean and amenities are as described. Loved our family vacation here. Spacious rooms, updated bathrooms, adequate heating, 2 car garage for parking, and fully loaded game room.

Amazing experience!

This is a beautiful, well kept property. Everything was very convenient & comfortable. Overall favs…the view & the hot tub. I would expect lots of snow during the winter months. There are plenty of toys to play in the snow. There is ample space to spread out & individual families to have their own space. You will not want to leave the ranch once you get there, so I’d bring everything you need when you come. The host, Jeff was very helpful & knowledgeable. Overall…..AWESOME!!!

Wife’s 40th B-day

It was just a great property for us to just hang out, play cards, pool. Relaxing in the hot tub was great. The view from deck is absolutely spectacular. Jeff was awesome and easy to communicate with, he gave great directions to reach Windance. My wife loved that she was celebrated at Windance Ranch.

Awesome property

This is an amazing spot in gorgeous country. There is room to roam on the property, which is also close to horseback-riding, tubing, and Glenwood Springs. Activities are plentiful for kids: boating, fishing, bocce ball, a fire ring and hot tub top the list. Great deck for evenings. Better even than the pictures. Property manager is readily accessible.

Incredible Mountain Retreat

Love, love, love this place! It’s exactly what we needed - peace in the mountains with spectacular views. House was great, working with jeff was great, solitude was great…. I didn’t realize that the property was as remote as it was (20 - 25 mins from 70) but that was part of the overall experience. You literally hear nothing but nature and the drive to the highway is actually quite beautiful. Would recommend this property to anyone!

Best VRBO ever

This property is beyond description, and better than the online pictures can portray. Our family reunion was enhanced so much by the beautiful setting and by all the wonderful activities available for adults and kids. Great fishing, hiking around, and games and a lovely large house to hang out in, with plenty of room to either be together or to escape for some private time. The property manager, Jeff, was accessible and responded quickly to any needs. We hope to return!

This home was lovely! There were 8 adults and 7 grandchildren, ages 14 yrs to10 months. Plenty of space for everyone. Enjoyed fishing and kayaking at ponds, walking, playing pool (grandparents won) air hockey table needs a bit of cleaning, everyone enjoyed hot tub. The views would have been perfect except for the smoke. The best was the nature we saw, the rabbits, deer and especially the hummingbirds! Jeff, the host, was very nice and helpful.
