This lake house had everything we needed. It was beautiful inside and out! Owners were very nice and friendly. The beds were very comfortable. I think the best part was down on the dock with fishing, swimming, kayaking, and watching the sunset. We will definitely stay here again.

Girl’s trip

Perfect spot for a weekend trip. Owners were very communicative and easy to access. Loved that there were multiple kayaks and a paddleboard on the property so we could do things together as a group.

Wonderful Getaway!

We chose this house because it was a short drive away from our home. We couldn't be happier! The hosts were very nice and gave us a tour of the house. Our kids loved all the amenities and we enjoyed every moment of our stay.

4th of July weekend

Our family rented this lovely Granbury Fishing Lodge for the 4th of July weekend. The house itself is so nicely maintained and the beds were comfy. Even my three month old seemed to sleep better here than at home. The house is right on the water and we had a front row seat to fireworks over the lake. There was lots to do and the host, Steve, was very responsive and helpful. We will definitely be back!

A must stay!

Steve and Kelly were amazing host, and went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. The home was exactly as advertised, fully stocked for kids, family, and the outside boat dock and fire pit were a plus. We enjoyed playing games that were in the home, and many toys that our grandson enjoyed the entire time. We highly recommend this home.

Shower Trip

Traveled to Lake Granbury Fishing escape for a baby shower. The house was close to our family and Granbury was a wonderful place to go and walk through the shops. The house is perfect for our trip. Hosts were very helpful. Looking forward to going back when new baby arrives!

Weekend at the Lake

Beautiful windows in living space overlooking the lake. Morning sunrise over the lake. Great location for kayaking. Home is well maintained, comfortable, spacious, open concept. Air conditioner worked amazing in day after day 100 degree heat. Enjoyed our time here!

An Amazing Vacation Home.

We loved every bit of our time there. We met the owners when we arrived and it was really great to have them take you on a tour and show you the odds and ends of the place. Very helpful. They do a great job maintaining the home and property. There is so much to enjoy there, you don’t even want to leave the house. Everything you could need to enjoy the lake is there. We will definitely be going back!

Awesome Amenities

Overall the stay was awesome, some hiccups, I did ask for a early check in of 1pm kind of got a sing song answer so we just settled for 3 pm, the neighborhood seemed a little sketchy but were no problems at all other than that this property is awesome Steve was very helpful and a phone call away. I would give this a property a 5 star they have everything you ever wanted to do on the water except the beach! Would definitely book again! Thank you Steve

Awesome!

If you want a great host and a very clean property at a great location.. this is for you. We had the greatest time. The host met us there, went over everything. The lake house comes with everything you could possibly need to enjoy kayaking,paddle boarding, horse shoes and so much more. Loved the outside hang out areas. Very comfortable well taken care of property. Boat dock is awesome. Very quiet peaceful place. Very relaxing! We will be back! Thank you for making our stay so amazing.

Amazing Fall Break Getaway!!!!

We booked this fabulous home for our Fall Break and it did not disappoint! When arriving, Steve met us to review with us location of kayaks (on property, no worries), as well as discuss the property - this was suck a perk! This property had EVERYTHING - even fun games (darts, foosball, plenty of chairs) as well as fishing rods, kayaks, life jackets! We went into town one day for a festival and it was a blast!!!! Made smores at night! Inside the house was amazing - it was probably the cleanest rental we have ever been in! Steve & Kelly take a huge amount of pride in the lodge - and you can tell! We will for SURE be back!

Cozy & Fun

We have thoroughly enjoyed this Place! It’s packed with so many fun things to do and everything comfort you could possibly want without having to drag it all from home. Steve & Kelly have thought of every detail. We would 100% recommend this to anyone, but especially families with energetic kids! My 9&11 year old girls kayaked for the first time, played cornhole, horseshoes, foosball, darts, fished, built a fire and cooked over the fire pit. We were also close enough to see a show in Granbury and spend time at Dinosaur World in Glen Rose. My 83/84 year old parents had a great time, as well. All in all, a great trip.

Amazing! Simply amazing.

This is an amazing place to stay. The owners have thought of everything, there are plenty of activities for the kids (foosball, horse shoes, darts) and it’s all in great condition. The house is clean, comfortable, and has all the small touches. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck after dark. There is a well maintained fire pit. No corners cut, all furniture is comfortable and everything is well kept up. The fishing from the dock is next level. We caught crappie, striped bass, and catfish. What more could we ask for? The kids had a blast, I caught fish, and my wife enjoyed reading and relaxing. Easily a 5 star location.

Five stars for the fishing lodge for NYE vacation 12/28/23 - 01/01/24.

Steve and Kelly are excellent hosts. This was our second stay here and we look forward to many more. The lodge was beautifully decorated and the pictures shown do not do justice. There is plenty of room for all of the family with adequate privacy as needed.We had everything that we could possibly need. We loved the view of the water and the sunrise each morning, even with the frigid temperatures. The fire pit was wonderful each night and we had an amazing view of the fireworks all across the water from the deck for NYE. Fishing was relaxing and our kids 15 and 25 enjoyed the kayaks each day! Not to mention the games of horse shoes, foos ball, darts, and corn hole that provided more fun and entertainment for our family. Steve and Kelly were excellent about checking on us via text periodically to make sure that we had everything we needed. We also visited the local shops on the square and did wine tasting one afternoon. We loved the location and the atmosphere so much that we brought the grandparents this time too. This is a great place to gather with family or friends, that comfortably sleeps nine people. If you need more space, they also own a second beautiful home next door. The two lodges provide a great place for a family reunion or a retreat with friends. We are already planning when we can return… Happy New Year!!!

Another Perfect Retreat!

This was our third stay at the property and like the two stays before it was great. The property is situated right on the lake for spectacular views of sunrises and sunsets. The property has everything one needs to be as active or sedentary as one wants to be. It is truly a relaxing place, a lovely weekend hideaway from stress and worries!

Perfect Retreat Location!

The Granbury Fishing/Lake House has quickly become our favorite place to escape to when our small group of writers want to get away and focus on our writing. The house has everything we need - a fully stocked kitchen, plenty of room to stretch out, comfortable sleeping quarters (and super soft, yet absorbent towels), quiet, and an exceptional view of the lake. We love feeding the duck families in the morning and kicking back at the end of the day around the fire pit. This property is truly a slice of paradise.

Perfect weekend getaway

Steve and Kelly are the perfect hosts! The house was super clean and cozy. It was filled with everything we needed to keep us entertained and comfortable. The beds were great-even the futons. Steve was easy to reach via phone or text. They even left us a little welcome basket filled with goodies. We took day trips into Glen Rose to visit Dinosaur Valley State Park and Fossil Rim. Fossil Rim was a HUGE hit with our kids (ages 2.5 and 5). We hope to stay there again soon!

Wonderful getaway

Owner met us when we arrived and explained where everything was, including light switches which there are many, and all the added features (grill, smoker, dart board, foosball, horseshoes, kayaks, etc). We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We appreciated not having to buy firewood as it was provided for us. Great fire pit for Smore‘s. We enjoyed kayaking as a family, since there are four kayaks. This is truly unique for a rental. We brought plenty of pantry items, but there were some spare in cabinet, which was nice. Plus we had a welcome basket full of snacks. We were hungry upon arrival and already started munching on them once the owner left. Plenty of beds. Master bedroom bed was very comfortable. Master bath is upstairs and very roomy. Second bathroom is downstairs so the teens used that one. Washer and dryer available as well as soap. We didn’t use, but it was good to know that was available. Ground level beneath the house is where storage for kayaks and grills and games are located so if it rains, there’s still a way to hang out outside. Fishing poles are also available. Wonderful place to say and getaway!

Thanksgiving Family Get-Together

This property was just as advertised. It was perfect for our family get together for the holiday weekend. The space was so efficiently used that we wanted for nothing. The owners were great to check in to see if we needed anything. I highly recommend this house and we hope to return again.
