6/10 Okay

Liked: Check-in, communication
Disliked: Cleanliness
Upon arrival, the property was poorly maintained. The lawn was unmowed, there were piles of trash in the garage, and the house itself was quite dirty. Additionally, the washing machine was full of dirty laundry, forcing us to wash towels ourselves before we could use them. I also noted that the lack of air conditioning is mentioned very far down in the listing’s amenities; I suggest making this more prominent for future guests. After we reported these issues, we were told the caretaker would clean, mow, and remove the trash. However, when we returned the following day, the house remained filthy and the trash had not been removed. Instead, we found the caretaker playing fetch with four dogs off the dock at 5:15 PM.It was disappointing that the promised resolutions were not handled, and it was quite uncomfortable to have the caretaker using the property for personal recreation during our rental period. It appears that while the hosts are attentive, the local property manager is not fulfilling their responsibilities.
