Some trips are about getting the whole crew together — and having enough room for everyone to enjoy it. Red House #5 is a brand-new lakeside property at Del Mar Dunes with three private units that share one address. The main home has two bedrooms, a full gourmet kitchen, and a spa-worthy bathroom. The two studios each have their own entrance, wood-burning stove, kitchenette, and vaulted ceilings that make them feel wide open. Everyone gets their own space. Everyone shares the lake. That’s the whole idea.

THE SPACE

Three distinct spaces connected under one roof — designed so your group can spread out, recharge on their own terms, and come back together whenever they want.

UNIT A — The Main Home (2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4)

Living Area: Curl up by the fireplace on a cool evening, catch a game on the Smart TV, or just sink into the couch and watch the lake through the oversized picture window

Kitchen: A fully equipped, full-size kitchen with everything you need to cook real meals — no hunting for equipment or fighting for counter space

Coffee Bar: Wake up and pour your first cup without leaving the living area — a dedicated coffee and beverage station keeps the morning easy

Dining: Gather around a big farmhouse table with plenty of room for the whole group

Bedrooms: Two quiet, comfortable rooms with king sized beds — the kind you actually sleep well in

OUTDOORS AND LAKE ACCESS

The name “Del Mar” means “by the sea” — and standing at the shore of Lake Mille Lacs, you’ll understand why. One of Minnesota’s largest lakes, it’s right outside your door. Spend mornings fishing, afternoons kayaking or paddleboarding, and evenings watching the sun go down over the water. In winter, the lake transforms into one of the best ice fishing destinations in the state. Resort and public trails run through the property whenever you feel like stretching your legs.

Your Boat Club at Del Mar Dunes Marina (on-site) — Rent a boat right from the resort’s own marina, no membership required. Your Boat Club offers daily and multi-day rentals for fishing, tubing, cruising, and exploring the lake at your own pace. Just show up and go.

Fishing and Boating (5 min) — Garrison Sports offers guided launch boat fishing for groups of all sizes, and Tutt’s Bait and Tackle has kayak and boat rentals along with all the gear you’ll need on the water.

Hiking and Nature (14 min) — Kathio State Park is just down the road with hiking trails, historic sites, nature programs, cross-country skiing, and a 100-foot fire tower worth the climb.

Golfing (5 min) — Northwood Hills Golf Course is right in Garrison, with Ruttger’s Golf in Deerwood and Izaty’s in Onamia a short drive away.

Family Fun (8–20 min) — Grand Casino Mille Lacs offers gaming, dining, movies, and live concerts (8 min). Paul Bunyan Land packs in over 45 activities for the whole family (20 min).

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

Smoke-Free Space – Please keep the indoors fresh for everyone. No smoking inside. A $300 cleaning fee applies if smoking is detected.

No Parties or Events – You’re welcome to invite day visitors and enjoy small get-togethers during your stay. Please keep things respectful. Large parties, events, or activities that cause extra mess, damage, or disturb the neighbors are not allowed.

Guest List – For everyone’s safety and comfort, only registered guests are allowed unless we’ve chatted and approved otherwise.

Quiet Hours – Please keep noise to a minimum from 10 PM to 8 AM so everyone, including the neighbors, can relax.

Pet-Friendly – We happily welcome up to two well-behaved pets. The fee is $100 per pet, per stay. This fee may be included in your total at booking or collected separately prior to check-in, depending on the platform you booked through.

Pet Cleanup – Please clean up after your pets both inside and outside. Excessive mess may result in additional cleaning fees.
