Amazing!

Top of our list of places to stay in Galveston. The amenities both outside and inside were beyond our expectations. We would recommend a stay here to anyone looking for a relaxing but fun getaway.

Awesome canal house!

10 out of 10 on all aspects. Owners/hosts were super helpful and flexible, house was perfect size and set up for my family’s style, and it had everything we needed and more. I’d book again 100%. We spent most of our time under the palapa on the upper deck and on the boat slip fishing, and in the canal paddle boarding. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, the bathrooms clean and well supplied, and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking 3 meals per day…including a nice little Weber charcoal grill outside. Having called a canal house in Galveston home for most of my adult life (Jamaica Beach), I have pretty high expectations every time I come back, but this house nailed it. Honestly, I’d buy this house in a heartbeat if they would sell it to me.

Coziest home away from home!

We will definitely be booking this place again. The house was clean, cozy, and inviting. The hosts are very generous and the house is stocked with anything you could need as well as many things to do for fun like kayaking, cornhole, and many board and card games. The fenced in yard allowed my dog to have just as much fun as the rest of us. The hosts respond promptly and are very helpful. Overall, perfect experience and we will be back!!

Great Place and Location!!

This is our second stay at the Surf Shack and it was another wonderful trip! Everything is as shown and there are lots of activities for adults and kids alike. We will definitely be coming back again sometime in the future!

Cozy, well equipped Gem!

My wife and I enjoyed staying at the cozy surf shack. It was very well appointed, with comfortable beds and all necessary amenities. The check-in process was easy, the hosts were responsive, and we really enjoyed this place.

Labor Day weekend stay

Stayed with my family for the long weekend. The house was clean and tidy. Beautiful home to stay in, owner was very responsive. No issues or complaints. We were even able to bring our pup!

Another Great Trip!

This is our second summer renting this house and it was just as great as the first time. Feels like you are staying at your friend’s house because it is so well decorated and maintained. They stock just about anything you need for a stress free vacation. All you need are groceries! Hosts are extremely friendly and make sure you have a wonderful stay. Looking forward to returning again in the future!

Loved the Surf Shack!!

I brought my boys to this house for a dad/son weekend and they loved it. We have stayed at a lot of houses over the years and this one was their favorite. It comes with all of the toys and amenities that you need for a fun getaway.

Great Stay!

We stayed here for a weekend and the weather was not our friend. The host was very kind and allowed us to check in early and check out late in order to get the most out of our weekend. We had a wonderful time and will be booking this house again!

Great Get Away

Reel Chill provided a perfect place for our family to get away and enjoy the island life. The house was exactly as advertised and communication with host was very easy. We made some great family memories while staying and are already looking forward to our next trip to the island. We highly recommend this location and hosts!

Me & my wife had a good time staying in the house it was very clean and just cozy if I could have I would have stayed longer but had to get back home the house had everything you need all you have to do is bring yourself and your clothes everything was well stock can’t wait to go again and the neighbors was really nice very nice neighbor hood and the beach is 5 minutes away I really didn’t have to go to the beach just sitting on the deck watching TV was very relaxing

Great family getaway

We had a great time at the Cozy Surf Shack. We enjoyed fishing and using the available kayaks. The property was clean with all of the needed amenities available. It was also close to beach access. We would definitely stay again!

Great Stay at the Surf Shack

Despite bad weather, a little food poisoning from the nearby restaurant (oysters?), along with that da&% karaoke there, and new home construction nearby...we again enjoyed our visit to this great little spot. Its an uber cute house and the hosts are top tier.

Perfect getaway for a family

We scheduled a two night stay, but extended another night because we were enjoying ourselves so much. It was just our family (2 adults, 2 teens 16 and 18) and our two dogs and it was great! The house is well stocked with everything you could possibly need. We didnt have a chance to use them, but there are kayaks, a paddle board, and a big foam mat for use. Smart TVs throughout were also a great addition. For those with pets, the yard was fenced in and there is a gate leading to the dock to keep adventurous pets away from the waters edge if you want. We wanted to stay another night and got immediate confirmation from Natasha a 9pm letting us know all was good. Location is perfect! We will definitely be back again. John
