We traveled as a group of 3 couples and 3 solo folks for 2 weeks. Erin, the owner, is extremely responsive and accommodating. Even after we booked, she was in constant communication answering our many questions. Since we were all working remotely, she was kind enough to provide us with an extra folding table and chairs. We also left some folding TV tray tables for anyone else in the same boat! If you’re lucky enough to be here during a snowstorm, definitely don’t miss out on hot tubbing with a view under the falling snowflakes.
AMENITIES: It really can’t be beat at this price point. High-end RH furniture around the house makes for comfortable lounging. If you’re a coffee person, know that there’s a Baratza Encore for you. The kitchen is incredibly well-stocked with appliances — just to name a few: slow cooker, air fryer, blender, and a paella pan that inspired one of our meals. We ended up cooking most meals and baking a couple of times, and we wanted for nothing (except a rice cooker, but that’s because of the altitude). Humidifiers for the dry CO air, check. Glove and boot dryers, check.
LOCATION: Frisco is not far from any ski resort! Drive home and hot tub while everyone else is stuck in I70 traffic. When the ground isn’t covered in fresh snow, it’s an easy run/bike ride to the Lake Dillon recreation path. There are restaurants nearby if you want to eat out, and no shortage of chain supermarkets or stores (Whole Foods, Safeway, City Market/Kroegers, Target, Walmart). You can even bus from Walmart to Breck for free.
WIFI: We had 9 people working all around the house, often with simultaneous video calls. No issues at all.
BEDROOMS: Amazing, huge master. One of the queen rooms is on the small side, but it does have two desks. Note that the bunk room is also relatively small and doesn’t have a closet, so it’s probably best for kids in its current state. Maybe a standing coat rack and/or luggage racks would help?
No real grievances. If we had to name some: It can get warm upstairs even with heat at its minimum, but we just lounged in tees + shorts, using windows as needed. Some non-stools for the dining table would be more back-friendly. Linens and towels could be upgraded (don’t really match how nice the rest of the house is). The property management company is pretty responsive, but they don’t recycle, so we drove our own recycling to the recycling center once a week. A prior review mentioned highway noise, but we didn’t hear a thing.
