Quaint, quiet and cozy

We stayed 3 nights with our friends. The house is darling and decorated very nice. The beds downstairs were comfy but soft and the linens were fabulous! The master bath was very nice and roomy. Plenty of towels but the soft white rug was full of grass burrs! Bedrooms were spacious. The kitchen could have been a little better stocked. We made it work but, had we known, we would have brought paper towels, kleenex, foil and ziplocs. There is no dishwasher (we knew this) however there were only 2 hand towels and 1 roll of paper towels. We loved the outside deck with the firepit and lighting. It was breezy and we enjoyed sitting out there quite a bit. They do need to fix the door to the patio, it doesn't catch easily at all. I would stay here again because it was so cute and located just a couple of blocks from Main Street. Fredericksburg has so many sights and things to do, we love this town.

We stayed here for a bachelorette party! Pros of the property are: king size beds for comfortable sleeping arrangements, fully stocked kitchen and its cozy home feeling. Its location is amazing and we were able to walk to main street and no one had to drive! The only thing we felt could be better was the cleanliness of the property. However, we are all very big clean freaks so we point out things that a lot of people never see! Overall, I would recommend this property in a heart beat! It is a perfect group home for a fun weekend getaway.

Perfect for girl's weekend!

This place was a great for our family girl's weekend! We had plenty of space for sleeping and resting, and enjoyed playing games at the large kitchen table in the evenings. It was HOT outside during our stay, so we ended up driving to town; however, it is plenty close to walk when temperatures are not 100+ deg! Speaking of, the AC did a great job keeping the downstairs of the house nice and cool. The upstairs portion was a bit humid, but still plenty cool. The beds were SO comfortable! Great house and a good location!! I highly recommend!

Great location

Great location, great beds, great patio outdoor space. However, the inside was inundated with what we call telephone bugs. Didn’t really bother us because we are country folks but someone else would have likely have not stayed. Other than that, it was a wonderful 26 year anniversary weekend.

The perfect place to spend a nice girls weekend! The house was nice and clean, plenty of space for the 5 of us. The back porch and gas fire pit was amazing! Print communication from the host. Would definitely stay here again!

Super cute house!

Adorable house perfect for three couples. Very clean. The patio with the fire pit was perfect for an after dinner hangout spot. Great location—quick walk to Main Street. Would definitely recommend!

Great family spot

We really enjoyed our time in Das Vogel Haus. The location is just about perfect, close to Main Street without being too loud. The house is really comfortable and our son loved having the upstairs room to himself.

Great place for weekend getaway

this Property is very well decorated and provisioned with the necessities and essentials. Everything is updated and clean, and well thought out. The furniture and linens, towels and everything is adequate. Would suggest bringing a speaker if you want to listen to music. The outdoor area is really one of the coolest parts of this property it has a nice gas grill and gas fire pit. The propane was out on the fire pit, but I called the local representative and got a replacement right away.

Good property but a little dated.

Place was smaller than what we could tell from the photos. Upstairs had spiders in the mattresses. We had to sleep in the guest room close to the entrance which didnt have door handles or a lock. Overall, property seemed overpriced for what it was.

Birdie's Birthday Weekend

We had a great time! Everything was as advertised, plus some! The house is super cute and we had plenty of room for all of us. So cute and plenty of space!

We had a girls trip with 9 ppl. Everyone had a spot to sleep and the 3 bathrooms was an added bonus! The place is SUPER CUTE. The fire pit outside was so nice and it’s location is excellent! We walked everywhere! Also it’s a historical marker which was just cool.

Cute house in downtown Fredericksburg for bachelorette weekend

I was here for a bachelorette wine weekend and everyone had a great time. One of the shower’s in the master bedroom wouldn’t turn all the way to the left—making it so there was no hot water. I called the property manager and left a voicemail letting them know about the problem. Although I never connected with them over the phone (cell reception seemed poor there in wine country, so not their fault), they came and fixed it during the day while we were wine tasting. I appreciated the prompt support and initiative to just solve the problem. All-in-all I would definitely stay here again. They beds were comfortable, house was tidy and clean, and it was great being able to walk to restaurants and shops. Thanks!

Lovely home with beauty and convenience

We enjoyed our incredible stay in your amazing home! Fredericksburg offered us a well needed retreat from the craziness! Your accommodations took care of all of our needs and the beds were so comfortable, everyone remarked at feeling so rested. A short walk into town provided us with a little exercise after a great dinner. I would absolutely love to return to Fredericksburg and to stay here again! Thank you so very much.
