Lodging classified in 4 ears with the gites of France. it is located 1000 meters above sea level in the Haut Jura regional natural park and located near the Swiss border (charm of Switzerland and its watchmaking tradition). The chalet is composed of a large living room of 65 m2, 4 spacious bedrooms of 14 m2 each, 3 bathrooms and 3 separate WCs on each floor, large terrace, internet access, 2-car garage with remote-controlled electric door, barbecue , garden furniture, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, TV, DVD and CD player, games for children, 2 cots. A fitness area with sauna, treadmill, exercise bike.
The cottage is located 1 km from the village center with all services.
In winter, you have a ski lift (artificial snow), cross-country ski and snowshoe trails and a ski school 1 km from the chalet. dog sledding 10 km, Chaux Neuve ski jump 5 km can also be visited in summer
In summer, you have hiking and mountain biking trails, a 1st category river (la Saine). it rises near the chalet. and other activities specific to our region

Exceptional property and hosts for XC skiing vacation

The chalet was very comfortable for our stay for XC skiing. It provides easy access to several different areas for skiing and snow shoeing. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed. Christelle and François were friendly and responsive hosts. Having a garage is unusual for a short-term rental and was much appreciated during the first snowy days of our stay. We did not have children with us but it would be a terrific place to go with kids. Sledding right outside the door is first rate! Foncine le Haut is small but had everything we needed for cooking in.

Fabulous Gite in beautiful French countryside close to the Swiss border.

A lovely gite in beautiful French countryside, with stunning views over farmland. Ideal for walking and just getting away from it all. Well equipped chalet with everything you need, and a selection of local produce in the fridge on arrival. Christelle and François were excellent hosts, making arrival and departure quick and straightforward. Very many thanks for a lovely fortnight.

Formidable séjour dans un superbe gîte ! Franchement, c'est l'un des plus beaux gîtes que nous ayons jamais eus, et cela fait plus de 30 ans que nous en louons.Le gîte est très spacieux, très calme, et offre une vue extraordinaire grâce à toutes ses baies vitrées. Le propriétaire, François Cats, est très chaleureux et d'une tres grande gentillesse. Il répond rapidement aux messages et nous a accueillis comme des rois, avec des cadeaux de bienvenue composés de produits régionaux. Il s'est plié en quatre pour nous faire plaisir. Il nous a expliqué avec passion sa région et nous a donné de nombreuses informations très utiles.De plus, la région est franchement superbe : sauvage et authentique. Elle est parfaitement adaptée à toutes les météos :•Pour les canicules : vous pouvez visiter des grottes ou assister à l'affinage du comté (pour les personnes sensibles de l'odorat, sachez qu'il y a une forte odeur d'ammoniac).•Pour la pluie : l'écomusée, le musée Paul-Émile Victor, le musée du comté ou encore celui du vin jaune sont d'excellentes options.•Pour le temps normal : il y a énormément de superbes balades à faire (par exemple, au lac de Bellefontaine) et de magnifiques belvédères à découvrir (celui de Baume-les-Messieurs ou des 4 lacs). Vous pouvez même faire de la cani-randonnée avec le sympathique Alexis-Free Sled à Morbier.Bref, nous avons passé une semaine formidable qui restera longtemps dans notre boîte à souvenirs. Merci !

Mooie chalet met prachtig uitzicht

Het is een heel mooi en ruim huis, van alle gemakken voorzien. Fijne bedden, mooie badkamers, de keuken heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. Gastvrije ontvangst door de eigenaren en goede uitleg van alles in het huis, inclusief de sauna. Prachtige ligging daar op de berg en in hele mooie omgeving.
