We arrived after hours, but Marco provided us with excellent instructions with photos on how to enter the building and arrive at our room. One thing to note, there's no elevator (lift) on the property and the rooms are up three flights of stairs. Take your time on the stairs, especially with luggage. The room was great! Cleaned daily with fresh towels and the staff was polite and professional. Everything is within walking distance. Incredible sites, restaurants, shopping and the train station, which we used for a day trip to Verona. My wife and I loved Florence and felt safe everywhere we went. Highly recommend Canto Degli Scali for anyone traveling to Florence.

Marco, Marco, Marco — he’s your guy! You won’t find a better host anywhere. His place and hospitality are truly unforgettable. We stayed in the Tower unit, and every detail showed how much care and love went into creating this space. We had a wonderful time in Florence. Our accommodations were lovely. Close to everything. Only wish they had more comfortable chairs in living area. Only one couch and we were 4 people, two more soft chairs would have been perfect.

Amazing apartment in the heart of Florence

We stayed here for 2 nights as a family of 4 with 2 young children. The host greeted us upon arrival. The apartment was beautiful and clean. It was spotless and had a kitchen and daily room service. The location was perfect - less than 6-minute walk to the Duomo, Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio. The apartment was secure. We were on the 2nd floor and there were two flights of stairs (no lift) but the host assisted us with our luggage. There was no parking provided but the host was able to guide us at the time of the booking that there is a secure parking garage only minutes away from the apartment, which we booked independently (for 40 Euros a day). We parked our car there for the entire stay and explored Florence by foot/public transport for the two days were there. There was no iron in the room but the host was able to provide one upon request. The host was available to answer any queries at all times and was very welcoming and helpful. We would highly recommend this apartment. Thank you for an absolutely wonderful stay.

We loved our stay! The place was perfect for our family of four. The place was clean, beds were comfortable, and the AC worked amazingly (we were in Florence with temperatures in upper 90s in fahrenheit). The location was convenient to various sites, restaurants, etc. In addition, there were thoughtful welcome boxes, and we loved how the place was decorated. We would definitely stay here again!

There are 60 steps to get to the floor that these hotel rooms are on. Do not stay here if you have any limitations at all for physical activity. There is an additional flight of stairs to get to the bedroom and bathroom with two additional steps to the bathroom. It was hard to navigate at night. Ok if 20-45 yrs old and fit. No better options. Ruined my vacation!

The perfect Florence apartment!

I will definitely return to Canto degli Scali on my next trip to Florence. Marco was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond when I made an error in my reservation date. The property is beautiful. I have stayed in two of the apartments and found them both to be extremely spacious and beautifully appointed. The bedding and linens were so comfortable. I wanted to sleep in each day :-) The location was just perfect, as it is only a block away from all of the shopping and very close to the city center. It was also an ideal location because it was not in the middle of the city, which ensured that it was quiet in the evenings. There is a lovely restaurant directly across from the property where we had many perfect dinners. I could not recommend the property enough!
