Great stay however I was frustrated with the surprise $17.50 resort fee that was added on at the end of my stay when my security deposit was returned. My stay was Sept 30-Oct 1. The pool was closed. I stayed for 1 night and had no opportunity to use any “resort amenities”. This was frustrating. This time of year this kind of fee seems ridiculous.

The hotel pool and common areas are starting to get dated, but overall a great pool area. The suite with balcony was large and in great shape with a great view. The ability to barbecue onsite was great.

The apartment we were in was great. 1 bedroom, full kitchen, large bathroom with jacuzzi tub. Nice little balcony with table and chairs. Was clean and stocked well. The property was very clean. Anything we needed was brought to the room right away. Price was really good for an entire apartment. The downsides were no a/c in the bedroom and the sofabed was very uncomfortable and old.

I want to state that I am not a paid reviewer. I just spent 7 days travelling through AB and BC and this was our last hotel. We unfortunately arrived very late due to an accident on the highway and we arrived at 8 pm. The hotel called us at 7 to ensure we were OK and still coming, which was nice. When we arrived, the Boardwalk Fast Food restaurant was about to close but the manager (Ash) said he would keep it open for us. That was excellent service. Check in was very welcoming. When we got to our room, we were truly blown away. The room is a suite with a separate bath room, bed room and a combined living room, dining room and fully stocked kitchen. The size of this suite must be close to 700 square feet. We had a balcony overlooking the mountains and waterpark. This was one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in. The bathtub can easily sit two people - beside each other (we tested it) and overall you felt like royalty with all the space you had. The living room also has an electric fireplace. I would give this room a 9.5 out of 10. There were three things I want to mention but they are not bad things. 1) There is no breakfast service. You either bring your own food to the room or you are not in the mood for cooking, you will have to leave the place and there is cafe that serves great coffee and breakfast options. 2) The bed is extremely soft. My wife loved it and I hated it. So it comes down to your preference. 3) The WIFI was spotty for us.

We did have to pay a 25 dollar resort fee when checking in. The shower doesn’t go too hot, it stops in the middle, not sure if this is only our suite or others. Staff were friendly upon check in and explained the amenities well.
