The house was perfect for my family, had literally everything in the kitchen you could ask for, cozy layout, loved the bunk room for the teens, nice little backyard firepit. Overall the house was spotless and will definitely be coming back again, also the golf cart rentals are perfect! Would highly recommend that to check out everything in this cute little town!

Just like home!

We loved this home away from home! It was layed out perfectly for a family to enjoy a getaway to just rest and recharge! Everything was clean and the kitchen was wonderfully stocked! We will definitely be back to this property!

Loved this home!

I took my kiddo and her friend here last year, we thought it was so fun that we decided to return this year and this home was the perfect home to stay in! Overall we loved the home.

Perfect House!

This house was perfect for our family. We loved that the house was close to both pools. The fenced backyard with fire pit was a fun place to gather in the evening to make s’mores.

The location is great to pools, parks, outdoor activities etc. My only complaint is that the picture shows a vacant lot next door which is one of the reasons we chose this property. Having never been to CL, I thought that was a green space based on the picture. Instead, there are 2 houses being constructed on that lot. Construction began each morning at 7 a.m. which was not ideal for a restful vacation.

Overall Good with One Concern

SEE CONCERN BELOW! Overall, we liked the house! Clean with plenty of space for multi-families. We enjoyed the porch in front a lot. Our kids & neighboring kids gathered on the big rocks & played.CONCERN: If you have kids with smaller bodies, avoid sleeping in the top bunks. There is a linear gap between the mattress & rail that leaves at least 6 inches of wooden bottom bed frame exposed. Like a ledge large enough for toys, cups, etc. And, the height between the bottom bed frame & rail is apprx 1.5 ft. While asleep, my 8 yr old rolled off the mattress onto the ledge, under the railing, & onto the floor. About a 6 ft drop. We didn't consider this a possibility. It was! She hit her head hard. Bunk beds are not a new experience & she doesn't roll off beds. Please take note.The mattress could be pushed up against the rail; thus, leaving a gap toward the wall instead of the rail/floor. This would eliminate potential for rolling off under the railing. However, the rail may not be high enough above the mattress. Please check that a child could not roll over the rail. The next night we took the top bed mattresses off & put on the floor in upstairs sitting room.In summary, we would stay here again without using the top bunk. Review is for awareness. I contacted the rental company, which was reluctant to take ownership. They will pass feedback to the owner & let them decide how to proceed. Hopefully an adjustment will be made. Additional railing could fix.

The layout was perfect for our family with a master suite that was gorgeous, to an upstairs area for the kids to hang out. Plenty of sleeping space for everyone to be comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. It made cooking so easy! Our kids enjoyed all the games provided and spent hours playing cards. We would highly recommend this home and can’t wait to return!

Everything is very nice and updated and the location was great! The master bedroom upstairs is actually a queen bed not a king bed as advertised. We might not have chosen this house if we had known that but we made it work and would stay again knowing that in advance. Carlton Landing is the cutest little town to escape from reality for a bit! We hope to return soon.

House was well stocked with dishes etc and in an easy location. We rented a golf cart but we were in walking distance to the pools. I would stay again! We lost water one day but it was the entire town and nothing to do with the house.

Okla-home was a beautiful house!

The house was just beautiful, and the owners had equipped it with every possible amenity! It was clean, well cared for, and thoughtfully furnished. We weren't impressed with Carlton Landing in general, but the property was wonderful. For families with children, be aware that the beach area is extremely rocky and poorly manicured. We had a child severely injure a toe on the beach from a rock jutting out. There were nails all over the neighborhood from construction, making walking a chore. The boardwalk is in horrible shape, with many warped boards that are tripping hazards. There are only two small pools, and far too many visitors for them. At the beach, the rental equipment was sparse, and most was unavailable for rental bc of needed repairs. Fortunately, we took our own groceries, bc there is only one pizza place, and a trailer for snow-cones. The coffee shop is cute, but on Saturday morning, the espresso machine was broken, and they were unavailable to serve anything but drip coffee. The bright spot was the Market Pantry, which was very well stocked with groceries and toiletries (albeit very expensive). In general, Carlton Landing simply isn't well equipped for the influx of visitors. The infrastructure just isn't there, and the marketing is deceptive. The overall look of the community is charming, but beyond the houses, there is little draw for a real vacation get away.

Wonderful time at Better Together

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were traveling with my parents, my Mother-in-law, my two children, my husband and myself. The Better Together house was fantastic! There was plenty of room for everyone, and it was very clean. We had a great time roasting marshmallows in the fire pit, and playing games at the big family table. We really enjoyed this home, and will definitely stay in that house again!!
