This property is in a beautiful setting. The house was very nice and clean, and along with the bunkhouse, effectively met our family’s needs. The kitchen was well stocked. Our family really enjoyed the pool.We feel, however, that the property description was somewhat misleading. It is described as a “lakeside getaway”, “steps to Lake Fork”, and “On the water: Lake Fork (walking distance)”. The closest walk to Lake Fork is not a short distance, and it is down a busy road with no shoulder most of the way, and when you get to the lake from that walk, there’s no lake access.More attention is needed to the outside of the house. The porches’ lights and fans, patios, and around the pool deck are covered with cobwebs and dirt. In addition, we were never able to get the large TV in the living area (with the leather couch and recliners) to work.

Wonderful clean house with plenty of room

The house was perfect for the family! There were 5 children and 6 adults and everyone had plenty of space! The house was extremely clean and they were very responsive and helped with anything we needed! We would definitely stay here again!

Girls Trip Staycation

The property was beautiful and peaceful surrounded by nature. Perfect for a girls trip away from DFW. Host had great communication. Check in and out was breeze. This is the country so be prepared for bugs and spiders. That’s part of the experience. Would stay again!

Large Family Vacation

This property is absolutely beautiful! The photos and description are on point! The place was very clean. Nice and cool at all times. We had a large family Group meet for vacation and the very spacious house plus additional apartment was the perfect space for everyone! The swimming pool, deck and back porch areas are set up perfectly! The hot tub was so nice. Plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the backyard. Great communication and so easy to check in and check out! We will absolutely be going back.

Happy Trails Hideout provided a comfortable, luxurious stay for our family. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub and ambient outdoor lighting in the evening. The kitchen is spacious and stocked with cookware and utensils for easy cooking and dining. Bedrooms were luxe and welcoming! We were happily surprised by the massage couch in the entertainment room and utilized it during our family movie night. We were in town to visit family nearby in Quitman, but having Happy Trails as our spacious air conditioned oasis home base was a highlight of our trip.

Attended a wedding event in a nearby town, this home was great for us to relax and unwind between gatherings. Everything was clean and all things were as described in the listing. Would strongly look into renting this house again down the road.

Family Lake Time

Enjoyed our stay, parking for 3 bass boats and easy access to lake. Plan to return but in the fall next time. Everything was wonderful we loved the house, bunkhouse and pool. As noted in another post the grill needs some work. No tools to clean grill other than that everything is furnished for you during your stay.

This place was great. Had every utensil in the kitchen that you could imaged. Large dining table. Plenty of TV's. Very comfortable beds. BBQ grill needs attention. But everything else was great.

Lake Fork vacation

House is extremely well furnished with everything you can imagine . Beds are really comfortable . There is plenty of space for 2 families . Communication with the owner was perfect . We were disappointed by not being able to fish on a boat because it was closed the thanksgiving week but that is not the owner’s fault !

Great Place

Great place to stay. They have all the amenities you need. The hot tub felt great after a long day of golf which is minutes away. The garage is an awesome man cave . We plan on booking again once it warms up so we can jump in the big pool!

BeautIful Hidden Gem!

This property is even more beautiful in real life! Such a gorgeous and cozy home. It had absolutely everything that we needed on site. We didn’t want to leave. High quality bed linens and mattress pads, gave us restful nights. Kitchen fully stocked with every gadget we could think of. Living rooms with massage chairs, multiple TVs and boardgames. Property sits on a beautiful piece of land with mature trees, with even more to do outdoors. Fire pit, comfy outdoor seating, hot tub, large pool with the best deck. Perfect for families and little kids! And lastly the management, the best that I have ever had the pleasure to work with. They really cared about our comfort and experience, and it made all the difference. Highly recommend this home! Can’t wait to go back!

Best rental I've ever stayed in!

This house is wonderful! We left there today and I am already figuring out when to go back! It has everything that you could need to enjoy your time there. It is comfortable - great beds, sheets, furniture, showers with good hot water and great water pressure. The kitchen is well stocked with all that you need - even 2 kinds of coffee makers and a Ninja! There is so much seating - inside and out! So many different areas to sit and relax. The recliners in the TV room have massagers in them - watching movies in there on the huge TV was such a treat. Looking forward to using the fire pit next time! When we had a small issue with something I got a VERY prompt response and was super impressed with how quickly it was resolved! Thanks for providing such an amazing getaway experience!

Home away from home

The house and location were wonderful. Teenagers loved the family room recliners & big screen to watch movies. The adults enjoyed the outdoor space, pool & hot tub. Everything is available to have a great time without leaving the property. My only suggestion is to have the landscaper mow the yard during the week when you are less likely to have guests. Waking up to the lawnmower outside of my room was not how I hoped to start my vacation.
