Book a hotel near Dalhousie Castle, Edinburgh

"No problem with getting a parking space, very friendly and helpful reception welcome, room was gorgeous, tastefully done and full of little personal touches. Nice and clean. A big and very comfortable bed. We have stayed at a number of UK hotels (10+) this year and this is one of the few we are planning to return to."

"Amazing opportunity to stay in a real castle with such a rich history. The staff, especially Jon, were outstanding. Everyone was so accommodating. It seems like they have been making constant improvements to the property. The spa closes early (6p) and several amenities in the spa were out of order. Be aware that the archery and falconry, although on the property, are run by a separate company, closes at 5p, and requires a reservation. The remote location is beautiful and quiet, but be aware that getting a rideshare car is nearly impossible. The taxi company they use is very reasonable, but getting back to Dalhousie from Rosslyn Chapel was nearly $50 (I think due to the remote location). Great event for small parties/weddings. The dungeon dinner was fantastic, but be aware there is only one option (chef’s 7-course) that was $125 per person with no separate option for kids (more expansive, cheaper options at the other on-site restaurant, the Orangery). The complimentary breakfast was also delicious, made to order + continental. If we ever come back to Scotland, I’d come again despite checking staying in a castle off my bucket list. "
