We enjoyed our stay very much! The cabin was really clean and comfy. The property is so beautiful and peaceful and immaculately maintained. Shirrae and JD were super nice and JD gave us great suggestions for our offroad adventures in the area. We would recommend The Nest to anyone who appreciates getting away from the crowd.

This was the nicest place and the nicest host. I was so happy and excited to write this review. The host was so nice and the place was so clean and beautiful. I caught fish and grilled the best meals. They had the nicest family and dog. I shared a meal with them and I spoke with them often.

This is a very nice cabin. The bed was really comfortable and the bath house was extremely clean and had everything we needed. It is true that the bath house is not located in your cabin, but it was only 50 steps from our cabin door. There were flashlights provided for the walk to the bath house, so it was really no problem at all. This is the second time we have stayed at this property. It is very nice.

Unique cabin and property

We stayed here while recovering from climbing 14ers. This cabin is remarkably better than any standard hotel. The owner was super polite and knowledgeable about the region.

Lovely stay

It's a nice, quiet spot with access to the river. The bed was very comfortable and the place was spotless. Pretty close to town where we enjoyed a show at the Creede Repertory Theater. Lots of good hikes nearby.

Perfect relaxing getaway from the city bustle

This was genuinely the best experience we have had for a vacation rental for the purpose of unwinding. We thoroughly enjoyed (and were pleasantly surprised by) the quality of the bath house. We adored the ability to sit around the fires at night making dinner, watching the local bird life (brand new goslings and active hummingbirds among others), and stare at the stars. Their friendly doggo loved playing fetch with us. Town was only a few minutes away and had everything we could possibly need. The hosts were kind and friendly and extremely helpful. The cabin was the perfect temp for sleeping and avoiding the heat of midday. Truly enchanted! Will return for sure!

The nest

Quaint rustic cabin. Heating is a wood stove. Upgraded bathrooms located outside your place. Bathrooms are private though. If you arrive late, it’s a bit confusing which drive way to go to. We arrived after dark and went in the wrong drive way. An older woman (not the owner ) came outside with a weapon stick and called out to the owner to see if she needed help. This was a bit off putting since this is clearly a rental Property visited by many people. I’m sure the owner had no control over the other cabin, but this is why I took off one star. The owner did come out and was very nice and helped us inside. Just arrive befire darkk and you won’t have a problem. Hopefully the owner will let the older woman know that wasn’t helpful. Luckily we are from Vegas and not easily spooked.

The property was amazing, the cabin was comfotable, homey and well kept. Has a comfortiable feeling of being their, away from the main road, very quiet. Will be staying their again for sure, the bath house was awesome

Exceptional Stay

The cabin is stocked with all you need to be comfortable at night, in the kitchen and during the day. Hosts are very helpful and available. A short walk from your cabin and your have an excellent stretch of the Rio to trout fish. There is a firepit along the river with supplied wood for your early AM or night time fires. You are less then an hour away from lake reservoirs and hiking. The town of Creede has a great grocery store, several eating locations and all you need. There is an outstanding brewery 30 minutes away. Wonderful memories were created.

Great location, relaxing

We loved our stay here. Easy to communicate with the owners, nice quite location on the river. Easy to relax and easy to get into town. Would definitely recommend and we will probably be back!
