Thoughtful and modern comforts on a peaceful ranch

Summary:
We offer our 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom Ranch Bungalow, as your getaway base on our small family ranch. The unassuming cottage exterior contains modern amenities in a quiet, climate-controlled environment with Cal-King Tuft & Needle beds + full kitchen. There is room to “work-from-where you are”, while others enjoy the common area or outside patio. Our property (Horse Feathers Ranch) is ~15 acres with both West Sedona and Cottonwood only ~15 driving minutes away and wineries closer.

The Space:
Whether you have a jam-packed adventure planned or just need to get away, this Ranch Bungalow provides a base to relax away from it all and enjoy some down time with friends or family on our property. It is a small, but mighty 2 bedroom 1 bathroom space. The sleep experience is assisted by two Tuft & Needle queen beds with pillows and linens provided. One bedroom set-up is a master bedroom-style with a small walk-in closet. The smaller second bedroom set-up is a queen in a daybed-style layout with a standing armoire for clothes storage. Bed-side plugs and USB-ports are present for a nightly recharge of your devices. Every guest bedroom contains wash, hand, and body towels. Basic CO Bigelow toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap, and body lotion) are provided.

We are in a rural area, but still have wireless internet service (150/15) available and the house television comes equipped with a Netflix subscription accessed via the Roku service. Prime Video and Pandora access is available via Roku, so you can link into your personal subscription. Weather, PBS and PBS Kids are on the selection menu too. WiFi network access information will be provided in welcome communication prior to check-in.

The front entry patio has a couple of tables with chairs, where you can sit and listen to nature. With the immediate proximity of the Bubbling Ponds preserve, colorful birds can be found seasonally around the house and the local area has been noted by the Northern Arizona Audubon Society that helps maintain viewing platforms in the nearby sanctuary.

Upon entry, there is a dining nook to the right as well as a activity/lounging area to the left. Besides the Internet’s compelling selection of shows, the house also contains a library of books, some easy puzzles, and games to try.

If dining in is your interest, the Ranch Bungalow provides a 4 burner electric range with oven for your indoor chef and a propane BBQ for your outdoor grill chief. There are some basic pots, pans, plates, cups, and utensils for your use. A dishwasher helps with clean-up, and please note that there is washer/dryer with this house across the patio.

In the event that you need items for very small guests such as a pack and play crib, high chair, extra towels or throw blankets, these can be made available upon request. Please note that we try to use removable outlet covers on all outlets near floor level.

Outside parking is just outside the front door. Oversized vehicle parking (including RV-sized vehicles or trailers) may be able to be accommodated with advance notice.

When your stay is confirmed, you will receive a welcome packet to help with your planning.
• Check-in starts at 4 pm on the day of arrival.
• Check-out is 10 am.

Late check out and early check-in can be requested. Luggage drop-off may be available if early check-in cannot be accommodated upon request. If you will be arriving after dark, please let us know if we can leave lights on inside to help you more easily spot the house. It gets dark out here!

Guest Access:
The whole house is available. A house map provided in the welcome packet shows the house layout and public areas.

For those guests with limited mobility, the house is a single story, but there are a few areas with surface changes to be aware of when moving around. Uneven ground is present outside with limited pavement on property.

The Neighborhood:
Horse Feathers Ranch provides you with a base station for adventures beyond the "standard" Sedona experience. As we are centrally located within the Verde Valley, hiking and historic sights (and much more) are all available within a short drive.

We are a:

* ~5 minute drive to four local wineries and the Page Springs Fish Hatchery
* ~15 minute drive from the start of the Sedona sights and hikes
* ~15 minute drive to Old Town Cottonwood and their historic downtown
* ~30 minute drive from the Village of Oak Creek sights and hikes
* ~45 minutes to the historic mining town of Jerome
* ~75 minutes to downtown Flagstaff

If you are uncertain about your exact itinerary, the management of Horse Feathers Ranch can help you plan during your check-in, so that you can make the most of your visit to our area.

Getting Around:
The route to Horse Feathers Ranch involves a drive on Page Springs Road, which is the first Scenic / Historic Road named in Yavapai County, and next to the Page Springs Fish Hatchery.

Please note there is little public transportation and ride share or taxi options are very limited.

Other Things to Note:
What sets the Rental Property apart from other short-term rentals is that it is part of a small, living, breathing ranch. We encourage you to explore and enjoy the ranch grounds. The Cathedral Lodge is part of Horse Feathers Ranch, which comprises of ~15 acres that can be experienced by guests.

We ask that you refrain from entering those areas restricted to ranch staff. Likewise, please note that there may be ranch hands and other staff onsite during the day. Typical ranch working hours are _7:00 am_ to _6 pm_, daily. You are welcome to interact with ranch staff, although please recognize that their chief responsibility is to ensure the safe operation of the ranch (including the health and care of its animals).

Due to our rural location, you may seasonally find javelina, deer, elk, rabbits, coyote, and other animals common to the Verde Valley region of Arizona in the morning and evening hours. Please remember to keep your distance.

The Ranch Bungalow on Horse Feathers Ranch is family owned and the guest experience is managed separately by HFR Sedona. Owner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur while on Horse Feathers Ranch.

Sedona Stay

The cottage was exceptionally clean and close to everything we wanted to do. We really enjoyed our stay and will recommend Horse Feathers Ranch to our friends. We enjoy the peacocks - they didn't disturb us at all! Thanks for a great stay!

Awesome Place to Stay in Sedona

This is a fun little ranch house. It is a wonderful location tucked away in the back of a ranch. It's a beautiful location; however it is a bit tricky to find. But once we found it...so much fun!

Peaceful location

Quiet, private accommodations in Page Springs, well run, clean, and great for those who like a housekeeping cottage. Saw deer and javalinas on the ranch property and lots of birdlife nextdoor at Bubbling Springs Audubon and fish hatchery.

Quiet and Out of the Way

The bungalow is located at the back of a small ranch and is as described. It was quiet and had everything I needed for an enjoyable stay. I could easily recommend this to a friend and will be booking another stay in the future. Thank you Garett!

Amazing Bungalow and Location

Our stay was amazing on this property. Garett was an awesome host! If you are looking to spend a few days visiting the Verde Valley, especially the wineries, this is your place. This Bungalow is just a short ride to the beautiful DA Ranch, Page Spring Cellars, Javelina Leap and Oak Creek Vineyards. The delicious Up the Creek restaurant you can walk to it’s that close. I was really impressed with Horse Feathers Ranch. They have several other properties on the Ranch to rent that are gorgeous if you need more room. We will be back!

Great property in a quiet area

The bungalow at Horse Feathers was a great choice for us. It was much larger than we thought, easily could have had another couple or the kids with us. The location is outside of Sedona proper so traffic is much better and you are in a great space to see other areas like Cottonwood, Cornville and Jerome. There are fantastic, reasonably priced restaurants within a 20 min drive and you can get into downtown Sedona in about the same time. We did two professional tours, both picked us up at a resort about 10 min away which was great for getting home late in the evening. The bungalow has all the amenities you would need and enough pots, pans, and utensils to cook if you would like. Overall it was a fantastic vacation and we would gladly stay there again.

Nature lovers dream

Quiet stay at a great property that has humming birds, peacocks, horses and more (boarders state wildlife viewing area). Beautiful views abound every where in a great ranch setting. Don't let the Bungalow name fool you, this is a very spacious house that is very welcoming. A great place to relax and let time pass by. Little to no cell phone service but the provided wifi was excellent. We had a great stay at a great value.

Perfect Choice

This property was the perfect place for us to stay as our base during our Arizona Red Rock adventure. Great combination of modern and rustic all at the same time with the working ranch and all. Enjoyed evening walks at the neighboring fishery and was the perfect remote location between Sedona area and Cottonwood. A true delight!

Great Property

Rented this for our Sedona vacation and it was perfect for our needs. Spotlessly clean. Very quiet and centrally located for the sights, but not in Sedona proper Sedona is a madhouse, tons of traffic, and lots of overpriced tourist trinkets. This place is located just south, in Cornville, near Oak Creek. It is a working ranch, but not busy or loud. The owner, Garett, was super responsive, and full of helpful hints. We found ourselves eating dinner in nearby Cottonwood, which has several excellent restaurants. Don’t miss Colt 804 Grill - best brisket ever! We would certainly stay here again.

Ideal location in the Sedona area

The Bungalow on the Horse Feathers Ranch in Corneille, AZ, was all that we hoped it would be. Immaculately clean, well equipped and close to many of the popular Sedona trail heads. The host was very responsive to our questions and we found the lacking nothing we required. Plus, we had almost nightly visits by one or more peacocks. All and all a perfect stay for us. We wouldn’t look elsewhere if we plan a return visit to the Sedona area.

We loved it!

This little bungalow was the perfect place for our recent Sedona vacation. We loved the quiet location in the wine region as well as the birds and animals that visited us while we were there. The cottage was very clean and well appointed with lots of amenities. The manager was available to help us whenever we needed and there was a lot of great information printed out onsite so we felt very informed about the property and the surrounding area. We would definitely book again if we return. Thanks to Garrett and the ranch crew!

Wonderful stay

We loved this bungalow on the beautiful quiet ranch. It was exactly what we were looking for! It was extremely well organized, stocked and well cared for with lots of information you will need for the area. The owners are so nice and responsive after you book helping with any questions, suggestions and activities you might want to do in the area. I loved the proximity to Sedona. There isn’t traffic coming in from this side of town and the town is just beautiful driving in from this route. It’s close to the hiikes we wanted to do as well. Would definitely stay again!

Great stay, private and peaceful

Great stay in a clean, comfortable, quiet casita on a rather peaceful ranch. House is roomy and well equipped, including much information about local attractions as well as the house and ranch itself. Peacocks were entertaining to watch (and were quiet while we were there). Host is very quick to provide info and respond to questions. Would love to stay here again sometime.
