Surrounded by majestic mountains, the town is the ideal starting point for exploring the Cirque de Mafate, climbing Piton des Neiges, hiking in the cirque, and discovering exceptional panoramas.
Cilaos is also known for its thermal spa, its iconic lentils, its vineyards unique in the Indian Ocean, and its traditional crafts (embroidery). A perfect place for lovers of hiking, relaxation, local cuisine, and unspoiled nature.
