Situated on the ground floor of a former Welsh Chapel the Courtyard one bedroom apartment offers a unique city centre stay suitable for a trip to Chester Races, city or leisure weekends and the business traveller.

The boudoir Courtyard is a truly unique private outdoor space which is very rare within with city walls. Furnished with outdoor heaters and comfortable low chairs, its a haven to enjoy all year round.

Tastefully furnished in contemporary and minimalist style a stay in The Courtyard @ The Chapel will for sure be a very memorable trip.

Ideal location for the city & zoo. Everything you need for a short break.

Mezzanine level is small & mattress not very comfortable, stairs up quite steep! We end up bringing the mattress down to the ground floor! Would have been better if the settee was a bed settee for the third adult !

Home away from home

This place was amazing! Little touches like milk and juice, the brownies, sanitiser, everything was thought of. Was a lovely getaway to Chester with our two children. The apartment was very clean, extra blankets and towels, and it had everything you needed for food prep and cooking. Lovely host and could not recommend this place more. Thank you for making our time in Chester wonderful.

Absolutely adorable property! Booking was seamless and Janice was attentive to all communication and requests! Greeted by a home made cake and the kitchen was stocked with coffee (mes preso machine☺️), tea and enough milk for the first morning. Recommended!

Perfect location and fabulous courtyard

This property is perfectly located a stones throw away from stairs to the wall. We stayed here with a 4 year old and 10 month old for 2 nights. The owner kindly provided a travel cot for our baby which was great but please remember to bring your own bedding (we did and always do). We booked this property specifically for the heated courtyard patio and were not disappointed. After the kids went to bed we enjoyed sitting out here with wine and cheese. Even in the chilly fall air we were toasty warm as there are heaters and blankets provided. The flat has everything you need and the beds (including the sofa bed) are comfortable. The loft area was a hit with our 4 year old once she figured out the stairs. Everything is there to make your stay comfortable - great linens, high end appliances and a welcome gift of cupcakes which my 4 year old spotted immediately :) We found the travel cot provided was too big to fit in the alcove suggested so we had to move the bed a bit to make it fit. This was not a problem but it's a bit of a tight squeeze once the travel cot is set up. Our 4 year old also insisted on being in a bedroom so we had to be creative with the sleeping arrangements. We brought blackout blinds (there are blinds but the owner mentioned they were not blackout) but our 4 year old likes a nightlight which is why our original plan was to put her on the sofa bed. I think it is a better property with just one child in the cot or fine for 2 kids if they are OK with sleeping on the sofa bed in the main room. You could also put the cot in the alcove but we found it too hot for our baby and we could not make it dark enough but it is an option as the cot fits. This is not a criticism by any means just information. If we are ever travelling as a couple we would not hesitate to book this property. We also think it is perfect if you have just one baby in the cot and even better if they don't need it totally dark as you can put them in the alcove and keep the bedroom for yourselves!

Stunning apartment in a fabulous location

The apartment is stunning and in a fabulous location in the heart of Chester. Beautifully styled and immaculate with a lovely courtyard garden - which also has heaters for cooler evenings. The apartment is just a short walk to everything you would want to visit in the City. In addition, there is a Tesco Express around the corner and parking outside with permits which Janice the owner gave us. We mostly ate out - the Jaunty Goat is great for Breakfast (only a 4 min walk away) and The Chef's Table brilliant for dinner although you definitely need to book - but there are loads of other lovely places to choose from. If you are visiting Chester and want something special with loads more space and style than any hotel room could give you - this is definitely the place to stay!
