"This house was ideal for our 3-generation half-term holiday. There was space for the little ones to roar around but also the opportunity for the oldies to find a peaceful corner. The village is relatively remote so we had to do quite a lot of driving to find entertainment for the junior members or history for the seniors but it was a delight to return to peace and quiet. And the pub serve us well!"

"I loved it here. Its quaint and in such a peaceful location. All the staff were very friendly and well suited for people facing roles. Planty of tea, coffee, bottled water and biscuits in the room. You do have to duck your head on the stairs but this building is old and has so much history. My favourite part was the bed! It was like sleeping on a cloud and i even managed to sleep slightly later than i should have. I also loved the shower, it was so deep and has steps to access it, so not for anyone with any mobility difficulties. The only negative was the strange smell, but i did get used to it and everything else made up for it. I'd definitely return and would recommend. Many thanks."

"I was slightly worried when we drove into the car park as it was a bit scruffy, but I needn’t have worried as the hotel is excellent, with large, comfortable, clean rooms, and really lovely staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return."
