Overall, this hotel has several genuinely strong features, but also some clear gaps that materially impacted the stay. What worked well: The location is excellent, and the gym and pool areas are very good and well positioned as key strengths. I also want to recognize that some members of the staff were professional, helpful, and delivered a great experience. Where improvement is needed: The room was clearly in need of an upgrade. In particular, sound isolation should be improved significantly, and the ventilation needs to be strengthened to properly remove moisture. These are basic comfort and quality expectations that were not met. Breakfast was below expectations, and the service in the bar area and at reception did not align with the standard I would anticipate for this property. Summary: With upgrades to the rooms and a more consistent service level in breakfast, bar, and reception, this could be a much stronger offering. As it stands, I would rate this as a 4-star hotel based on my experience.

The breakfast was very limited: lots of pork and fried items. The beach access was horrible: it was a public beach with vendors everywhere, water too rough to swim, and not even pretty. To see a nice beach, you have to oay $100/pp to take a 45 minute boat ride to an island nearby. I found this deceiving. Also, a family room with 5 guests needs 5 towels, shampoos, waters, etc. Every day we would get less, or even none. Last, a second trash can is needed in the room. The tiny one by toilet isn't sufficient. Water from shower floods the bathroom floor.

We come each year. This year we appreciated the new gym and pool. We thought the breakfasts were better this year with some new vegetables and always a meat option. However, internet seemed much slower this year.

The hotel grounds are absolutely gorgeous with a massive swimming pool (along with kids pool and multiple spas). Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is amazing. We absolutely loved our stay here and the kids didnt want to leave. A few minor issues with the room, bit they were fixed immediately by the feiendly and efficiebt staff.

The reason for was clean and the pleasant but a couple of things were off. The toilet seat wasn’t properly fastened, and there was no hot water in the first shower I took. The staff was great and so was the hotel grounds, from the pool to the gardens.

Pros: Great hotel and setting! Enjoyed the spacious, clean rooms and the surrounding wild animals and exotic birds—a truly unique experience. Cons: Service is extremely slow everywhere (restaurant, bar, pool, check-in). Food was okay. Warning: Do NOT rely on the "Welcome Drink" voucher. Despite what the voucher says, staff claimed it was only for a specific premade drink and refused to honor it for simple non-alcoholic beverages like a coke for my son. Despite asking for the supervisor nobody came and the bartender just shrugged when we asked. Always ask for prices and confirm services BEFORE ordering. (Note: you Pay a third party for beach chairs closer to the water which is something we didn’t know)

The Caribe Hotel is one of my favorite hotels to stay in. The staff is so gracious, nice and accommodating. The hotel has a nostalgia that's unmatched. The hotel grounds are well kept and provide many amenities. The breakfast buffet is always delicious. I highly recommend the Caribe Hotel.
