Composed of 2 bedrooms with 140 bed and 140 convertible sofa.
You will stay in Square Gambetta, ideally located 10 minutes walk from the Medieval City and 5 minutes from the city center, free parking 2 minutes away and paid parking opposite. Airport shuttle 2 minutes away. Train station 10 minutes on foot.
In summer you will be a 10-minute walk from the municipal swimming pool, passing by the peaceful banks of the Aude.
You will find everything you need for a pleasant stay: washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, sheets and towels provided, large kitchen, large shower. Internet wifi is also provided.

Good location, comfortable beds

High ceilings and large common room were nice. Some stand lights and lamps would be nice - ceiling LED lights are harsh. Limited options for breakfast cafes. There is no dryer so bring clothes pins if you want to use the washer. (There is a makeshift clothes line on the patio). Towels are old and very thin. A couple of dehumidifiers would help with the dampness of a basement apartment.

Great location and comfortable stay

We couldn’t have asked for a better location to tour around the old and new city. Left car parked and walked everywhere. Amazing restaurants all around. Very comfortable beds!!!

Perfect vacation in Beautiful Carcassonne

The apartment was in a great position for all the places of interest which we wanted to visit. It was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Communication with the host was effective and prompt. We enjoyed the local restaurants and cafe culture. The Fete de Musique took place while we were there so we also enjoyed open air concerts. Thank you for a wonderful stay Goretti

Spacious, cool and easy walk to citadel

Large spacious apt, stays cool in warm weather because it is in basement. Overall great, could use a bit of touch up to freshen it up. Fabulous location, across from a lovely park and an easy (well

there IS the big hill to climb) 15 minute walk into the old walls citadel. We would absolutely stay here again!

Great location

Beds were comfortable, place was clean. Had some trouble with the hot water to wash basin & sink but managed ! The apartment was a little gloomy but the weather was bad when we went which didn’t help. It’s a basement conversion so the approach to the entrance was not very attractive with very high walls. Great value for money though & excellent location for the town & medieval city.

Property is on same side of Square Gambetta as Ibis Hotel. What we liked: Great location for exploring Carcassonne, including medieval city; Quiet; WiFi (though connection not always reliable); Appliances & kitchen well stocked (crockery etc); dishwasher tablets/washing machine pods supplied; Carrefour & Monoprix - local small supermarkets - both within 5-10 mins walk; likewise independent food stores (such as patisserie & greengrocer). Things to be aware of: Low beds; Noisy toilet (air suction style); 2 of stayed using both beds - made up with 1 pillow per bed only yet lots of spares available (along with blankets); only provided with 2 bath & 2 tea towels for 1 week (no hand towels); hot water takes about 2 minutes to get through; washing machine stacked on top of dishwasher; very few clothes hangers; only 8 clothes pegs; lots of pigeons nesting in the courtyard where outdoor seating & washing line are; no waste/recycling information - 2 different bins for building; can hear neighbours talking through walls in both bedrooms. What we didn't like: No oven glove or laundry basket; no windows in either bedroom or shower room - only 1 in sitting room on same wall as entrance door; crockery plentiful but not all of it left clean & some chipped/cracked; The entrance door was sticking & difficult to open upon our arrival; we discovered the laminate flooring had swollen. Water gets in when it rains heavily. On 1 evening we had to mop floor of flood water inside entrance.

This basement apartment has everything you need and is in a very convenient location. The only minor problem was that several light bulbs weren’t working in the bathroom and kitchen which made it quite dark.

L'emplacement est adĂ©quat, 15 minutes Ă  pied de la citĂ© fortifiĂ©e et juste Ă  cĂŽtĂ© des rues commerçantes et des points d'intĂ©rĂȘts de la Bastide. Parking dans la cour arriĂšre facile d'accĂšs. Appartement tout Ă©quipĂ©, donc idĂ©al pour gĂ©rer un sĂ©jour familial (repas, lessive). MĂȘme si l'appartement est situĂ© sur le joli Square Gambetta, c'est tranquille la nuit et on peut dormir les fenĂȘtres ouvertes. TrĂšs facile de communiquer avec les propriĂ©taires.

Comfortable in a Good Location

Large, comfortable suite next to Sq. Gambetta, just a short walk from the Medieval City and the Bastide St. Louis. Very well equipped with a cozy patio for dining al fresco or just enjoying the sunshine. Access a bit complicated because it is in the rear of an apartment building, but the owner's instructions are very accurate. Very pleasant stay. Would have no problem returning again.

Lovely apartment in Great location

The property is newly refurbished off Gambetta Square. Great location about a 10 minute walk from both old and new town. Apartment is well equipped and spacious. Happy customers. The only thing I would mention is the linen needs upgrading.

Gorgeous appartment in the centre of Carcassonne

My sister and I spent three wonderful days in this appartment. There are two generous sized bedrooms, a large lounge, a modern bathroom with abundant hot water, and a well-equipped kitchen with a large fridge. There is also a sunlit terrace with table and chairs, and it was lovely to sit out there in the peace and quiet. Considering that you are in the centre of the city, the silence is much appreciated. Free parking is also available a few doors away. You are within short walking distance to the old walled city, and a stone’s throw from the town centre. Great communication with the owner was of benefit as well. I very much recommend this lovely spotless appartment to anyone who is interested in Carcassonne and the surrounding area.

Excelent Location, Newly Renovated Appartment!

My family and I (5 in total) stayed in this cute apartment in July 2018. The location is excellent, easy walk to the Castle Carcassone, and the city center with lots of restaurants, shops and activities. This place has been recently renovated, it was super clean, well equipped kitchen, has two terrazas: one next to the front door and the other one inside the master bedroom. The flat is spacious, comfortable, nicely decorated, it is bright with lots of natural light. We will stayed there again!

This is a comfortable apartment with a great layout. After a long day of site-seeing and travel, it’s nice to come back to a clean apartment with modern amenities. Also, great location! It’s is walking distance to both the castle and the busy plaza or town square.

Spacious, tasteful, quiet apartment in a charming location

We were met at the street entrance to the apartment by Sonia and although her English was not so good and my school French is not as good as I thought (!) we were able to convey to each other all the necessary information. The apartment was tastefully decorated and well equipped-although for those who like to make cups of tea there is no kettle but there is a small saucepan which serves the purpose very well. There is a small outdoor area which was very pleasant although I cannot say when, or if, it gets sunshine as the weather was not so great for the four days of our visit. Even is the sun does shine it is not really spacious enough for sunbathing so, if you are a sun worshipper, you may have to find somewhere else to soak up the rays. The main entrance is on Place Gambetta which has a charming carousel, an outdoor café, a lovely water feature, lots of seating and greenery. Traffic is allowed on three side of the Place and it can be quite heavy but the trees around the outside do deafen the sound. Also, due to the location of the apartment, off an internal courtyard, you do not hear any of the traffic noise. Carcassonne is a charming and compact city and the apartment is not more than a few minutes stroll from cafes, restaurants, shops and attractions. Round the corner, on Rue du Pont Vieux, is a special little wine bar, Lùche pas la Grappe - our "local" for the few days of our visit! If you are flying in and/or out of Carcassonne Airport and intend to use the shuttle bus service, the bus dropped us off at the edge of Place Gambetta and the bus stop to return to the airport is a 2 or 3 minute walk.
