Exceptional

The house was really big with multiple living areas. Plenty of room for our group of 18 to spread out. We loved the arcade games and activities upstairs as well as the movie room. Great location! The only thing we didn't like was the beds - they were pretty hard.
Plenty of room to spread out, beautiful lake view from the patios. As mentioned in other reviews, the driveway is VERY steep so be prepared. There was a little wear and tear on some of the fixtures and the house could use a deep cleaning (a few cob webs in bedrooms, etc). Otherwise the space was fantastic.

Great & comfortable stay
Amazing location. House is very accommodating for big groups . Kitchen is overly stocked which is great . Morning view felt like I was in Italy. A little more cleaning would be great but it can be hard with that size of house . Will definitely return

Peaceful retreat in Canyon Lake
Spacious home with gorgeous views! Plenty of beds and baths for a small group retreat. Well-stocked kitchen. Comfortable living areas. We loved gathering for meals on the large deck overlooking the lake. A dip in the lake was just a short walk away. We asked for a later checkout and it was graciously granted. A few minor hiccups and an overall very positive experience.
We are a group of veterans who are in a non profit motorcycle club celebrating our first year as a club. We were looking for a get away that was close to tuning on Guadalupe. The house had perfect amount of bedrooms and was very nice. The owner was very nice and was very responsive. The only minus was trying to get 6 900 lb motorcycles up a 45 degree curvey driveway. Would have neen easier if we had a place to park below, then just walk up driveway. This isn't really on the owner, but would recomend putting steep driveway pics included in property so people.know. overall a great place and we had a great long weekend from Dallas.
Upon arrival we immediately fell in love with the view this house has to offer. There was 17 of us that stayed there to honor the passing of a close friend and allow us to connect with one another again. This house was plenty big enough to host all of us and gave us ample space for all of us to all be together. The last night there we all ate on the top deck at their table out there and it was the perfect way to end our stay and celebrate the life of our friend. The house sits on the side of a hill and up a little bite, giving the most spectacular view and is only 9 minutes from the Guadalupe Horseshoe and 20 minutes from Canyon Lake Beach. Our over all stay was everything we could ask for, Hilda helped out when we had questions and her and her team do a great job with this property.

Pros and Cons
This house has pros and cons. On the positive side, if you want a large house with a great view as well as places to escape the others in your party, then this is the house for you. Just be prepared to climb stairs, a lot of stairs, some more treacherous than others. The description does indicate the house is multilevel with some stairs; we just weren’t prepared for the number of them. It is not a house I would recommend renting if you have small children or elderly folks. The kitchen is well equipped and the decks are comfortable.
On the negative side, there are two serious concerns that I have messaged the host about. I have not heard back from them. The first is the steep and narrow driveway that has a short stone wall on one side - if you arrive in the dark as we did, the wall is extremely difficult to see. We scraped the side of the rental vehicle as a result. Simple reflectors would make a big difference.
A more concerning issue is a tiled stairway immediately to the right upon opening the front door. The stairway leads to a locked door. It was dark in the small landing and we could not get the light to stay on. A 79 year old woman in our party took a head first tumble down those stairs because she didn’t see them. Fortunately she was not severely injured but we were lucky. It’s not a fun way to begin a trip. A simple gate there would have helped.
The house could stand a thorough cleaning and some TLC - some paint in the bathrooms and anti-slip mats for the bathtubs
