The staff, including management, appeared more focused on aggressively promoting the timeshare program rather than delivering quality service and ensuring a positive guest experience. Upon arrival, there was no proper introduction to the property or its amenities—only a strong push for timeshare participation. The ATM was non-functional for the entire eight-day stay, and the front desk was unable to provide change for tipping, which created an ongoing inconvenience. Additionally, a water damage issue in our room went unaddressed for two full days despite multiple requests, and no compensation or meaningful response was offered by the staff. Lastly, the pool experience could be significantly enhanced if the infinity flow system and overflow mechanisms were functioning properly. Several other guests we spoke with also noted this issue. We did enjoy the pool activities, location including ocean view and breakfast options were average compared to lunch / dinner. Oddly, there was no authentic Mexican cuisine not even at lunch.

The majority of staff were five star, however dealing with the managers after we extended our stay for one day we got to run around and ended up having to pay more than we expected. One of the restaurant managers in the resort was extremely rude and obnoxious. Also, we had to change rooms because of the excessive noise and the new room had less noise, but a view of construction.

Let me start by saying this definitely wasn’t what I expected. I came here assuming it would be the same quality as Sandos Cabo—but I was absolutely wrong. When I arrived, I was told my room didn’t have the ocean view I had paid for, so I had to upgrade for an additional $100 per day just to get what I originally booked. Then I was informed I’d need to make dinner reservations with the concierge. When I tried to do that, I was told that every restaurant was fully booked for my entire stay—despite the fact that I was traveling alone. How is this all inclusive since I couldn’t eat anywhere, but the buffet restaurant. At Sandos Cabo, one of the best parts is that you don’t need to make reservations for any of the restaurants—you just show up. That’s what an all-inclusive should be. The room I was given here in Cancun was large and did face the ocean, but it was outdated, not very clean, and one of the showers was broken. The TVs in the room are smart TVs but aren’t even connected to WiFi, so nothing works—no Netflix, no YouTube, no channels at all. The staff themselves were kind and respectful throughout my stay—but the quality of the accommodations just doesn’t match. The location is nice if you’re looking to be away from the party scene and nightclubs—definitely take an Uber if you’re heading to the strip, not a taxi. But overall, I was very disappointed with Sandos Cancun. The place is old and grimmy go elsewhere

We had a fantastic time loved all the pool parties and activities. The music was always great and everything is easy to access. Our family went together two adults and an 86-year-old mother and she was able to sit in the air conditioning and still look out at the ocean and read her book while everyone else was in the pool so it was a nice time for everyone.

Stay was okay, food was average, but at one point the staff was rude towards clients, including the manager for the night shift, one night specifically they kicked us out of the karaoke night early, sent everyone upstairs to continue to 1am to come to the bar tender being in a bad mood with everyone.

The staff was great and we had so much fun! The pools were amazing! Our room unfortunately did not have hot water in the shower but the bath did so we made do. The food was a solid 7/10- edible but not the best which is to be expected with all inclusive! For the low price we payed I would say it was worth it and would probably stay again. The staff really did make up for what lacked in other areas.

Staff was nice, event staff was fun. Property is obviously undergoing some updates. On our 2nd night at 11pm we ended up having to move rooms beacausw the ceiling in our shower was falling down. The doors have all seen better days. When they moved us, you’d think that they would try to offer some kind of amenity for the trouble, but they did not. Just moved us to a lower level and a blocked view. Restaurants and food were pretty good. Had to make reservations for the specialty restaurants- but yet the tables were very empty. The entertainment staff- Karla, Paula and Daniel were great. Very high energy.
