Nicely decorated, this peaceful and spacious country house can accommodate 4 people. Its pretty and vast wooded park includes a heated swimming pool and the passage of a stream. A SPA will be set up from April 2019. A real haven of peace !
You will have in sight the magnificent castles of Bruniquel located in one of the "most beautiful villages of France", they are perched on a rocky outcrop dominating the valleys of Aveyron.


Located 2 km from the center of the medieval village of Bruniquel, in the heart of the magnificent natural landscape of the Midi-Pyrénées region, this Villa is nestled in a large, lush private park with a heated swimming pool and a SPA. Atypical style and provided with 2 bedrooms with independent bathrooms. Bright and spacious, decorated in a refined style.

The "Master" room is the first room including a large double bed in 160 with a bathroom and a beautiful walk-in shower, a sink, private toilet, and enough to store your belongings in the shelves. While the second has a double bed 140 and a bathroom, with a large walk-in shower and toilet.

In order to ensure you a most pleasant stay throughout the year, the house has reversible air conditioning in each room, a washing machine. The charming living room has a TV.

The elegant kitchen is equipped with all the appliances you need to prepare your meals, such as a stove, microwave, coffee machine and dishwasher.

Do you want to dine outdoors? Choose from three terraces with barbecue. This furnished terrace is ideal for enjoying your meals while admiring the view of Bruniquel castle, the garden and the swimming pool.

Ideal, beautiful location

This was a stunning property, with glorious views and ideally located for day explorations of nearby hill top villages. We had lovely days visiting sights in the morning then lounging on the terrace and by the pool. Our son adored playing the pool (which in July was nice and shaded by 4pm, an ideal time for playing before dinner/BBQ).

Stunning location

The property is in a beautiful secluded setting and the surrounding countryside is lovely too. There are lots of medieval hilltop villages and plenty of cycling, and walking routes for the more active. Maeva and CĂ©dric looked after us well and when we had a problem they sorted it out straight away.

A peaceful retreat

The property was just as described and was wonderfully quiet and private. We loved the heated pool and spa which we were able to use even though the weather was not hot. We also enjoyed visiting places of historic and artistic interest even though this often meant driving quite far to get there.

We had a great 2 weeks at Villa Des Combes. The interior and facilities within this Villa are superb - wanting for nothing. The grounds are expansive and heaven for an excitable dog. It is so vibrantly green, more so as we visited at the beginning of May - the leaves were new on the trees making it so lush. Fantastic, calm and peaceful area. Beautiful autumnal stay in the stonecutters cottage

We had a great stay here in Cedric and Maeva's cottage. The gardens are magical (forests, stream with bridge, lawns and stone carvings) and we enjoyed watching the deer in the mornings, and the view of Bruniquel castle from the house. It's well located for a stroll into the village and there are many lovely villages in the area to drive to. The house was well equipped and the owners were friendly and responsive. Autumn was a beautiful time to visit, although the house doesn't see the sun at all at this time of year (October) which is a shame, but in the summer it would be even better. The hot tub was a brilliant feature and we enjoyed using it during our stay. We would love to see a welcome folder with info about the house and local area too. NB. Pool is not in use after September. Thanks Cedric and Maeva!

Nice calm very private location

We had a perfect stay in Bruniquel. Small disadvantage : house and garden are oriented to the north. So in September, after 3pm no more sun around the pool and terrace. For the rest perfect garden for our dog and everything you need to relax on a vacation.

Perfect situation, well equipped, lovely owners!

We watched the house taking shape, Cedric sent us pictures of before and afterwards, and we booked before the pool was in, but he didn't let us down! The house stays remarkably cool, even when it is 35 degrees outside, due to its location halfway up the side of a hill. The views are amazing, but it 's position is so secluded, if you were looking for the place to get an all over tan this would be it! Everything you could need is in the house, and the air con, which we only used at night, is so quiet you really cannot hear it. Each bedroom has its own shower room and separate loo, so no bathroom queues. The pool is about a metre or so deep all over, there is no shallow end, so not for tiny children, but it is well fenced off. It's situation means lots of wild life, waking to bird song, rabbits in the morning, deer later in the day, though you will be lucky to see these, the crickets are deafening, and to my shock a grass snake shot out of the hedge by the kitchen, was panicked by the sight of us and quickly disappeared, we did not see it again. Tarn et Garonne is a bit like an English Cotswolds, but hillier. There are great local markets, hilltop medieval towns, canoeing in the rivers and great walking country. There are a couple of supermarkets at Negrepelisse where you can stock up on everything you need, and many local restaurants, can particularly recommend Gorges D'Aveyron in Montricoux. Cedric and Maeva are very responsive hosts, and there very quickly if you have a problem (we had a shower tray that didn't drain, and was sorted within hours). Thank you for giving us such a special holiday!

Fantastic

What a lovely cottage, nicely decorated , clean and comfortable And what wonderful treasures are to be found in the garden, a rotary line to die for ( and you won’t say that many times in life) total peace and not a person in sight. Pool is rather tiny so don’t expect to due lengths but nice and warm, And one depth about 4 ft,so no shallow end. All in all a winner and Maeva and Cedric who own the cottage are charming ,they do not live close at hand so you have total privacy.

Perfect tranquility and total relaxation

We had a fantastic week in this region of France, and we would recommend visiting Albi, Montauban and Caussade, so much more to see and do in this beautiful area of France. Shops for groceries and more with plenty of choice was at Negrepelisse, which is only 14Km away and also cheap petrol available 24 hours The cottage was exceptional and so were the owners Cedric and Maeva in every way, any questions or help required was dealt with quickly by the owners. We had such a relaxing week but unfortunately we had a couple of days of inclement weather, but as the swimming pool was heated we could swim even in the dullest of days. We would highly recommend this cottage for a peaceful relaxing holiday to anyone, it was well worth the drive from the UK and hope to return next year.

Le logement (de plein pied), se situe dans une grande propriĂ©tĂ© au calme, il est trĂšs bien Ă©quipĂ© et possĂšde 2 chambres spacieuses Ă©quipĂ©es chacune d’une salle de bain avec douche. Le jacuzzi est un plus non nĂ©gligeable, la piscine reste fraĂźche malgrĂ© le chauffage du fait de son emplacement, en effet les arbres de la forĂȘt trĂšs proche lui font de l’ombre tout l’aprĂšs midi ce qui peut ĂȘtre sĂ»rement un plus en plein Ă©tĂ© mais juste en septembre. Il faut Ă©galement savoir que le logement est Ă©quipĂ© du haut dĂ©bit mais que l’opĂ©rateur Orange ne passe pas du tout Ă  Bruniquel et par consĂ©quent si vous n’avez pas un autre opĂ©rateur que Orange vous ne pourrez utilisĂ© votre tĂ©lĂ©phone quand Wifi dans le logement.

Charmante propriété proche de Bruniquel

L'endroit est tout bonnement magnifique ! Maison isolée au calme sise au sein d'un jardin splendide. Le Wifi est capté partout et est trÚs rapide. Les propriétaires sont trÚs sympathiques et répondent trÚs rapidement aux messages. L'airco fonctionne trÚs bien. Il est juste dommage qu'il manque 2 grandes casseroles dans l'équipement de la cuisine et surtout qu'il faille se loguer avec le code WIFI complet à chaque fois que l'on désire allumer la (trÚs grande) TV. La piscine est agréable mais un peu petite pour pouvoir effectuer des longueurs.

Eine sehr schöne Oase

Die Buchung und Kommunikation war sehr gut und die Gastgeber waren immer zu erreichen. Das Haus liegt abgelegen in einem kleinen Tal und man kann die Ruhe sehr gut genießen. Der Pool & Wirpool waren gut geeignet um den Abend ausklingen zu lassen.

Super Place

The area is quiet and peaceful, no direct neighbours and set on a huge plot of Land with total privacy. The house is nicely laid out. We used the Jacuzzi and it was nice and relaxing. There is no outside light so a torch for letting the dog out is a must! This is not a good property for people with hip and knee problems as the surrounding area is very steep. For children a good area as they can play and run around there without any problems. Offers TV with multi Languages and good internet connection. The only thing needed was a normal coffee machine (which we brought with us) not one with capsules. This is an ideal property for 2 of for a small family to have total privacy in a secluded area!
