The hotel was in a great location however room key didn’t work so had to go back down to reception to get them to activate another one. Then I thought we had upgraded but not sure what the upgrade was. 2 bottles of free water in a fridge??? Was that it!!

Graduation visit , a one nighter.

Mostly good/excellent particularly reception and check-in. My room seemed a little tired and small for the money. Lock on the door did not work and one of the stanchions in the bathroom was very rusty . Aircon good and bed comfy, all in all for one night, good, any longer maybe room upgrade to be recommended

I think the hotel was a little run down... needed a refresh for sure. No hair conditioner in the hotel, we swapped rooms twice as we were in a room next to a door that kept banging all night. Also the first room we could feel the springs.

Central and grand

Good value for money, central location. Many original features retained and enhanced. Room 308 view from window was over 50+ cigarette butts immediately outside window on balcony area with mesh screen and a crane. Fridge was stocked with 2 x water bottles and 2 cans of pop. Air conditioning was very welcome and not noisy which was a bonus. Bathroom was bright and clean with toiletries which were of a good quality. Bath robes and slippers provided but too hot to use. Good to see hairdryer, iron with a full size ironing board. Coffee machine and kettle with a good selection of coffee pods and tea bags and decent semi skimmed milk.

The AC in our room was broken and we were not informed of this until we got to our room. Once we realised this, we returned to the front desk and were informed we could switch rooms, but it would not be the same standard as the room we had booked and there was no guarantee the AC would work in another room. It gave the impression the staff weren’t all that interested. The compensation we received (£20 refund and 2 complimentary drinks) didn’t feel adequate.
