Musty cabin

Smell was so bad we couldn’t stay in cabin during the day. Had fans going constantly and only moved the smell around. We even brought our own fans. The positive side - screened porch, smell not terrible there.

Great location, quiet neighborhood

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Loved how we could easily walk to Boothbay. Access to the kayaks was a huge plus too. If there was one bit of advice I could offer, it would be to reduce the amount of furniture in the cabin. I believe there were 15 chairs within.

Perfect Cabin in the Woods

This is a cute and cozy, albeit small, cabin nestled in a wonderful wooded community. The neighborhood was quiet and all of the people we encountered were very friendly. Access to all of the shops in Boothbay Harbor were just a short walk (or drive) away and you can also walk to the private beach. We had a wonderful time and cannot wait to return to this location again.

Nice vintage stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Authentic vintage experience! Off course, if your are looking for a neet and sophisticate lodding, it might not be the place for you… but it was perfect for us! Very well located, near a private beach with 2 kayaks and chairs for our convinience. Also very near to the action of Boothbay Harbor that was a nice discorery! The cabin is very confortable, with everything we needed to prepare a nice meal and relax at anytime of the day. The only thing that could be improved is the number of seating in the living room and the fire place that was out of order. We had to take two chairs from the porch to make it confortable for our party of four.

Short stay

We really enjoyed our 3-night stay in Boothbay Harbor. We were a little early in the season, so some places weren’t open yet, but it was also not very crowded, so that was nice. The cabin was just the right size and had most everything we needed. We would have loved to make a fire, but it was not operational. The front porch was nice in the mornings and evenings for a little serenity.

Wonderful cabin in Boothbay Harbor

We had a relaxing restful vacation at the vintage cabin in the woods. The bed was comfortable and the sheets and towels were clean and fresh. Our favorite spot was the screened front porch. It's large with plenty of seating. You the pine mixed with sea air, listen to harbor sounds, and birds. It was great place to stay.

84 crest avenue in Boothbay: cabin should be avoided

As soon as we sat foot inside cabin it became apparent that website photos were photo-shopped. Place was dark and dingy over-run with the homeowners clutter and collections. Lacks any type of kitchen work surface, simple storage area for visitors' supplies. Bathroom shower is so narrow rendering it impossible to wash one's lower extremities as it offers no space for bending. Screened porch is stuffed with ancient and dusty outdoor furniture. No lawn area except for a spot to park the car. Appliances are rusted out way past their useful life. I reached out to VACASA ON DAY OF ARRIVAL, to express our disappointment and ask for some options/solutions. Many e-mails and texts came my way expressing their regrets on the condition yet no solutions were presented. No-one from their management team reached out to us. Keep your hard earned money, stay away from this wreck. All these so called partners collect their fees and then give you a lot of lip service. I will be reaching out to Vrbo as well as we are frequent customers and we're never given grounds to complain in the past.

Awesome Cabin!

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. We had 3 small issues...the rug in the kitchen is a slip and fall hazard...we rolled it up the first night and stored it behind the kitchen table...it also has a good size cut in it, really needs to be replaced. The house cleaning staff is not dusting glassware that is stored on the side board...maybe pack up half of it and there will be more room for the guests to store food items...no empty cabinets for storing food. also...not dusting behind furniture. We had no cable for the whole stay...we did contact property management and they sent out someone right away! The cable box was shot and they could not get us a new one for the stay. We did miss the big Patriots game!

Great Cabin

Great cabin in the woods (it is actually a wooded neighborhood). The beach is great. The kayak usage was a welcome treat. Boothbay isn't really for us but now we know that. Popham beach is amazing.

Cozy little get away!

We had no idea what a treat this stay was going to be. This little cabin was great! It was cozy & quiet & had everything we needed. It was clean & everything was accessible and easy to find. Absolutely loved the whole log cabin community at Sprucewold. Went for walks and was able to enjoy the private beach and even took out the kayaks one of the days. The beds were very comfortable too. The only thing I would have changed was the shower. Very small shower & bathroom so it was a bit tight for the 4 of us but made due. It was very nice to be just minutes away from downtown Boothbay Harbor where all the shops and dining and boat tours are. Will definitely stay at Sprucewold again!!

Nice in Sprucewold!

Great setup, and very hospitable. The community is amazing, and the basket of books was such a sweet touch! We would have liked a bit more surface space in the kitchen and free space (bath and living room). Otherwise everything one could want (clothes drying rack) was there!
