Honestly I don’t know where to begin. Everything is just perfect. The setting is gorgeous, the cottage is impeccably clean, extremely warm and inviting, the host has also thought of absolutely everything from a hand written area guide, to the stocked pellet grill, every type of toiletry and even starting the fireplace for us before our arrival on an extremely cold winter evening. Hands down the best rental I’ve ever and likely will ever stay at.

It was very quiet and enjoyable stay. I was in town for a funeral and was looking for somewhere to stay that was close to family. This was perfect. Everything I could have needed was available. When I arrived, there were muffins waiting for me and that was very much appreciated. If I am back in the area, I would definitely stay here again. Very nice.

Very neat little home, perfect for a weekend getaway. It had everything we needed. The owner brought us muffins when we arrived & my husband is supposed to be getting the recipe from her. We took a leisurely walk down the lane the 1st night. It was so peaceful. It's about 10-15 minutes from anything you need. Only downsides: 1) owner's house is directly behind, which was no big deal. Just unexpected. 2) There were 3 plug-in air fresheners that were very overpowering. I'm highly allergic & also have chronic migraines where smells are a trigger. So, we just unplugged them all & put in the laundry room. I would recommend not putting them back or getting some that aren't as powerful bc there are so many people triggered by perfumey smells.I would definitely stay here again. I absolutely loved it.

The Best Little Cottage Ever

This has been the very best experience I have ever had staying anywhere. The house was super clean & had everything you could possibly ask for. They even had all the makings for s’mores and extra mini candy bars and homemade pecan pie muffins, which were wonderful! The cow theme was super cute! Everything was comfy and clean. We would definitely stay there again if we are ever on the east side of Missouri.

Sweet Getaway

My boyfriend and I were looking for something local but still rural for us to enjoy a night away. The house is incredibly beautiful and decorated so sweet. We sat out by the fire pit for 3 hrs and enjoyed the view while roasting marshmallows to make s’mores with the supplies for the left set up for us by the owners. It was an amazing stay and we will be back.

Clifford’s Cottage is squeaky clean, expertly stocked, cozy and just off the beaten path from many area attractions. Sharon literally thought of everything and was kind enough to leave a little welcome gift for our young kids and check on us when storms came through our second night. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and our kids are already asking when we can come back! Thank you for a memorable family weekend!

My husband and I were on our way back to Texas from Chicago. We never have been in Missouri so we decided to stay a couple nights. We couldn’t have been more happier to be greeted with homemade muffins and beautiful and clean house. loved how organized Sharon was from binder with several things to do in the area to everything she thought of that a guest would need in the house. Pictures are exactly what you get. Stay was very comfortable, house very clean and area quiet. Definitely would recommend to stay here.

I love to stay in luxury hotels in this town unfortunately there isn’t any first time ever renting a place it was peaceful. It was private. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful. The owners are wonderful. I’m allergic to a lot of foods. She made me some amazing muffins. I can’t say enough about this place.
