Liked - large room, large bed, helpful staff, not too busy. Didn't like - constant noise of generator in my room (217), shower difficult to understand how to operate, no sockets available bedside, no light above desk, lock didn't always work first time from outside.

Would be happy to stay again

Although some of the bedrooms are a bit dated, the bars and restaurant are good. The food we had was excellent especially steak and peppercorn sauce. I believe thatvthere are different grades of rooms at different prices and we only paid the base price. Parking is a bit steep at £10 though

Carpet threadbare. Noise from music downstairs. Noise from people moving around upstairs. Reception told me I needed to fill in info, despite me completing it online in response to their pre-check in email.

Me and my one daughter had a nice overnight stay with a good sleep. My another daughter (she had a competition next day and needed a good sleep) had a terrible night. They could not sleep as it was very loud because of the wedding party happening in the hotel. It would be nice that people are aware of events happening while they stay there and they could affect they sleep.

Arrived in heavy rain and chaos with my car key battery flat and without a physical credit card. The receptionist was patient and accommodating while I worked at getting my act together. Very convenient for the National Motorcycle Museum - I will stay at this hotel again. Interesting history behind the hotel.

A second lengthy stay whilst working Birmingham NEC 15 minutes away. Hotel offers good facilities if not somewhat tired and dated, however some rooms were being upgraded during our stay. Great food (5 stars) excellent bar, large car park, no issues

It’s been a year since I stayed here and only selected due to location and another preferred hotel being full. The rooms are still shabby, furniture scratched, decor chipped and dated…and an horrendous damp smell from the carpet/bathroom. No protector on the mattress, which all you can hear are the springs. Just drab, dated and definitely in need of a refurb. I just knew when I saw the corridor carpet that no works have been done. Shame…as the bar and restaurant are super.
