We had a wonderful stay overall and would happily give this home 5 stars. There was a little uncomfortable situation at the beginning of our stay, but the house itself ended up giving us so many special end-of-summer memories by the lake.The lakefront view was beautiful, and the home had such a fun ’90s nostalgia feel—the decor really brought back memories for us parents! The house was a great fit for two families of four, and the kids had such a fun time together.One thing was my oversight in not realizing the home did not have AC. With the warmer weather, the kids were sweating at night. That was definitely something I wish I had noticed before booking, so just something future guests may want to keep in mind.The other downside for us was the algae in the lake, which made it difficult to fully enjoy the dock and get in the water. While the jacuzzi was a nice alternative to not being able to access the water, I’d recommend confirming the jacuzzi rules with the host ahead of time.We’re grateful for the memories we made here. It was a special way to wrap up the summer, and the kids will definitely remember this lake house trip for years to come!
