Overall value was a 5-star. Unfortunately not a 5-star on its own. We got a great deal through Hotels.com but had we not our visit would have had different expectations. Rooms are decent, no dresser so space for clothing is limited. We enjoyed having a balcony but we couldn’t use it as recent snowfall hadn’t been cleared. The shower was great, bed was comfy. The downsides were that although they give parking passes they are not enforced so hotel patrons have to contend with restaurant goers and park visitors. Multiple laps multiple times to finally get a spot to park. More often than not the front desk was left unattended and the jacuzzi hot tub has an odd odor, not chlorinish… almost musty. All in all a good visit for a great value considering a lake view, a fireplace and needed amenities.

King Lake view room furnished very nicely. Modern cabin feel. The property is fantastic. Sauna overlooking the lake. Deck/bar/restaurant was perfect and the view!! There is a front lawn area that has a few large fireplaces with chairs all around and beach front. Couldn’t have asked for more. Walked across the street to Knottingham’s for a meal, very good. We’ll be back for sure.

This was our third time staying at the hotel and we cannot fault it. We had a really bad experience and actually left the hotel. We were meant to stay out to come back to this hotel and they checked us in early after hearing the story. They obviously didn’t need to do that but they really turned around a bad situation. The facilities are fantastic, the rooms are done really well with comfortable beds and Blockout curtains and having Aesop products in the bathroom is just a treat. We will always stay here now when we come to big bear.

Had an amazing stay! What a great spot and location for most of what big bear has to off! The walking distance to everything was amazing! Plus power shut off in the hotel so me being an electrician on site i was able to assist an get power back up an running since there wasn’t really anyone on site to assist late that Saturday night! Will definitely be back and bring family and friends again!
