"The Drey Hotel was the worst hotel I have stayed in since using Expedia to book my travel. This was my first time traveling outside the country to London, UK, and my experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing.
When I arrived, the concierge informed me that the room I booked online was not the room I would be staying in. They said it was only a “category” room and that I would receive something similar. However, the room they gave me was far from what I had booked. I was later told that the room I reserved had been given to someone who arrived earlier than I did. I explained that I had traveled from the United States and that the time difference made my arrival later.
They told me that I would receive the correct room the next day and that the manager would upgrade me in the morning. Unfortunately, no one ever came to follow up. When I went to the front desk to speak with the manager, he told me that he would not be changing my room and that the bunk beds I was given would be sufficient. His response was rude and arrogant.
To make matters worse, there was no hot water for the remaining two days of my stay. Overall, the experience was a nightmare.
I would like to request a refund due to the poor service and unacceptable conditions. This is my first time writing a review, but I feel it is important to be honest so that others do not experience the same treatment that I did."
