Cozy Barn Loft Apartment. Perfect for Couples, Hunters, and more!

Romantic elevated views of grazing horses, pastures, and magnificent sunsets. Total privacy and within 5 minutes of downtown Bayfield, 30 minutes to Vallecito Lake, 18 miles to Durango. Surrounded by San Juan National Forest, hiking, and access to great horseback riding trails. Incredible views, sightings of elk, deer, eagles, hawks, and more.
The apartment is located above the barn with direct access via stairs. There is also a private Hot Tub on the back deck of the apartment. There are cameras around the main house, barn/apartment, and back of the property. The cameras do not face inside the apartment or on the back deck where the hot tub is located. These cameras are here for your safety, my animals safety and mine. As we have all types of Colorado Wild Life.

During the holiday season the apartment is fully decorated inside (Christmas Tree and Christmas Decor) and out (fully illuminated barn and apartment) so you and your family get to have the Colorado Snowy White Christmas experience.

We are 1 hour away from Purgatory Resort and 1 Hour and 15 Min from Wolf Creek Ski Resort.

We also allow private micro weddings and elopements (Upon approval and additional fees). When booking weddings we have wedding packages that include florals by a top-rated Florist in the State Of Colorado. Please ask for additional details.

The owner lives on-site as well.

Perfect Get-away

My husband and I wanted to get away, so we started looking for a place that was away from busy cities/towns and provided space to reconnect with each other and the natural world. This was the perfect spot for us! We enjoyed the peace and quiet that the ranch provided and absolutely loved the little barn kittens, horses, and chickens.

This was a sweet, quiet, horse ranch off the beaten trail. Easy access to all the local fun of Durango just a half hour away but nestled in the quiet setting of a valley in the trees. Perfect for people who don't like the tourist trapping of town. New facility on top of the horses below. Nicely done loft.

AWESOME STAY

We had an amazing stay. The guest quarters were beautiful and well appointed, we had everything we needed and we made most of our meals in the unit. Everything is high end and incredibly comfortable and cozy. The property itself is absolutely stunning. The main house and guest quarters sit off hwy 160 about 1/4 mile up beyond the horse pasture. We were so thrilled that it was perfectly quiet there, which is exactly what we wanted. There are some beautiful hikes nearby (Vellacito lake is now in our top 5 hikes ever), a brewery (Botton Shelf Brewery) about 10 minutes down 160 with great food. Durango is 30 minutes away and an easy drive with cute shops, great restaurants and excellent hiking. The property owner was awesome and super accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again.
