Beds were clean as was bathroom. Floor hadn’t been vacuumed in quite a while. Neither had those in the hallways or communal areas. Half of the rooms in the island view Inn don’t have a Half of the rooms in the island view Inn don’t have an island view and there’s no mention of that on the website. Biggest problem was ran out of hot water the second night and into the second morning. No response from housekeeping or the front desk. Highly disappointed. Would not recommend for that reason. Spend your energy researching other places. There’s plenty of them.

The gentleman that checked us in was exceptionally friendly! When leaving we had a great talk and he made sure our stay was good! The room was a reasonably priced and the bed was comfortable!

Most of the hotels in the area are older, I found that the towels and bedding were very new in this hotel. We were able to extend our stay which was nice. The guy working the front desk was very friendly and helpful with our stay. Would go back again.

Worth a look near Acadia

Loved location with bay view. Good value for access to park, with close access to coffee shop, grocery store and restaurants. Enjoyed upgrade to Bay side offered by pleasant manager.

This was a cute hotel. We knew in advance the limited amenities. The area was quaint with easy access to Bar Harbor. Staff were great. Rooms very outdated, but the price was reasonable.

Nice and clean motel at a good price.

This is a clean and basic motel at a good price, with amazing views of Mount Desert Island across the bay. The location is very convenient and very close to the bridges that take you to the island. I think you can pick up a free shuttle bus to Acadia from a spot near the motel. The drive to Bar Harbor takes about 20 minutes. The island is definitely bigger than I realized!

The water view is beautiful. The property needs updating but it’s clean and has a comfortable bed. It’s about 6 miles from Acadia National Park.

Nice welcome! Clean and well situated Would have like if room was cleaned aft your first night but standard seems to change. Would be nice if at next renovation they remove carpet from floor in the room

We stayed for two days. We read some reviews online and thought it would be a rougher stay. But alot of the reviews were debunked. The out front staff was super nice and even when the office wasn't open, had a number that we could call if we needed anything. The cleaning staff was cleaning every room when we checked in but had ours ready very quickly. There are some cosmetic things that could be fixed. One worry that we had was bed bugs, we did not see any sign of them. It was good place to stay for a last minute hotel. Would book again.

Welcoming staff, clean room, comfortable beds, and fabulous view! You can also catch the Island Express Bus to travel pretty much anywhere. Really convenient since Bar Harbor and some parts of Acadia are hard to park.
