We have the luxury of being just feet from the bridge that leads to MDI and Acadia National Park but that also means that we are on the main artery that leads to the park. It gets busy with road traffic from Route 3 and air traffic from the small BHB airport. If you are a light sleeper and want to be deep in nature, this may not be the best spot for you. If you are looking for a relaxed, rustic vibe with what we consider to be the very best location to get to all things Acadia?! This IS your spot. Be sure to ask about earplugs or a white noise machine if you’re concerned about traffic noise.
Outdoor Amenities: During warmer months the scenic grounds are vibrant with flower boxes, gardens, lush lawns, Adirondack chairs, and picnic tables shaded by umbrellas and mature trees. Comfy cozy cottage at the entrance of MDI
nice location outside the hustle and bustle. The office offered many amenities and treats that made us feel very welcome. We loved the privacy and independence of the cottages, within walking distance of 3 lobster pounds, a bakery, and a small grocery store.
