Disappointing
We booked this property for a 4th of July vacation because the description promised panoramic views for grilling burgers on the deck. And since the weather can be rainy and chilly, we looked forward to the fireplace & game room. Sadly, there was no grill and no deck. The day we were traveling, we got a message that the deck was "deemed unsafe to use." We found the sliding doors to the deck had been screwed shut. There was no grill.The night we arrived, the lock code did not work. After some time texting the management company from the chilly porch in a light drizzle, we got the code to a lock box containing a backup key. The fireplace did not work and a note explained they had been waiting for a part to repair it for more than a year.Moreover, because the windows were dirty from bird droppings and a crusting of sea salt, there was not much view to be had.In the game room, the shuffleboard and air hockey games didn't function and the ping pong and foosball tables were marginal at best. We contacted management re: a partial refund and were told someone would respond. But nobody ever gave us an answer other than "we just need to wait a bit more" after asking a few more times for an update. We know the deck's problems could be due to insufficient maintenance or bad luck but advertising a fireplace is wrong.To be fair, there are good things - we liked the proximity to the beach and town. The rooms are large and comfortable.Overall, be aware of the issues.
