One night for Christmas

Christmas night stay so knew that there would be restrictions. The hotel advised us well beforehand that there would be no reception or restaurant facilities. Communication was excellent. Small problem with the tv remote that was easily fixed. Very comfortable sleep.

Love Oscars. Staff very attentive, friendly and helpful. Rooms always spotless and comfortable. Dined in and the food was high quality and service once again very good. Always the place to stay when I’m in Ballarat

We stayed 2 nights in Room 1 which had a rattling A/C unit which ruined our sleep during a hot night on our first night. Also when we had dinner downstairs which was fantastic we were served by a staff member who really didn’t enjoy serving customers was so grumpy and disinterested but what we had to eat was fantastic and when we come again to Ballarat we may come back, if only for the food. Sadly car parking is first in first serve for hotel guests, which was inconvenient being that there was some doggy youths frequenting the area. Would be nice if the rooms had cereal bowls but as a bonus the showers are amazing and have double heads for couples. We wanted to share our thoughts of our stay but no staff attend to the reception early in the morning.

Oscars is an attractive property with a welcoming ambience. Staff provided a warm welcome and check-in was smooth. The room was very comfortable, clean, and with a lovely large spa bath. The bed was very comfortable indeed. A family celebration next day in the restaurant was superb: lovely atmosphere, delicious food, kind staff and the best birthday cake ever: a meringue roulade with crème anglaise and berries. I shall certainly stay at Oscar’s again.
