The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. The bathroom was remarkably clean which is a nice suprise. Most bathrooms have that gross mold or unsightly dark spots all over the areas that have been caulked. Our bathroom was very clean and nice to use. My only two complaints is the toilet ran for a long time as the bowl would fill very slowly. If you had to flush twice, it would be 4-5 min. before it was ready a second time. An secondly the hall smelled like cigarette smoke both nights. It was very strong and because there was not a seal around our door, it was in our room all night and made the sleep horrible. I'm allergic to smoke and get all stuffy as a result. That was a bummer.

I have stayed here twice in the last 6 months and there are the same sad looking vehicles in the back lot that look like they no longer run. There is also a camper that is still there that maybe someone is living in. I didn’t care for the building we stayed in this time, it felt like maybe it was more a motel six style back there. I do like the main buildings (I guess they are the deluxe style) which I’ve stayed in before. That back building is just not very Best Western. Everything else was great.

It's really convenient to have a clean and efficient motel close to an Interstate and close to downtown Baker City. Better yet, they have a dinner restaurant that serves both Indian and American food with a good local beer and wine selection, and the meals are good. It also has a free breakfast spread.
