A spacious, beautifully positioned two-bedroom apartment on the western side of Princes Wharf — Harbour Bridge and Maritime Museum views from an expansive covered deck, king master with bathtub ensuite, twin second bedroom (king zip on request), coffee maker, dishwasher, in-unit laundry, air conditioning, dedicated workspace, and secure parking. The Viaduct, Ferry Terminal, and Britomart are steps away. Consistently praised for location, hospitality, and indoor spaces.
The western position in Shed 22 gives this apartment a view that is specific to this side of Princes Wharf — the Harbour Bridge arches across the horizon, the Maritime Museum sits immediately alongside, and the Waitemata Harbour opens to the west with the afternoon sun moving across it throughout the day. The expansive covered deck makes the most of this aspect: a proper outdoor room for morning coffee, long lunches, and the kind of evening that starts with a glass of wine and ends much later than planned.
A note on the waterfront soundscape: Princes Wharf is an active working harbour. Guests in this apartment may hear harbour activity — ferry horn signals, occasional waterfront noise, and the general movement of a working port — particularly at certain times of day. This is stated directly so guests can make an informed choice. The majority of guests have found this entirely acceptable and part of the genuine waterfront experience that this address uniquely delivers.
The king master bedroom has its own private ensuite with both a soaking bathtub and a separate shower — a proper luxury combination that is genuinely uncommon in Princes Wharf apartments and consistently singled out by guests. Quality hotel linen, good natural light, and the western harbour outlook make this a bedroom that earns its place. The second bedroom has twin beds that can be zipped together to form a king on advance request, served by a well-appointed second bathroom.
The open-plan kitchen, living, and dining area is spacious and well-resolved — guests consistently highlight the indoor spaces as a standout feature, and the space earns it: bright, well-furnished, with a Smart TV, dedicated workspace, air conditioning, and high-speed WiFi. The kitchen is fully equipped for proper self-catering: oven, stovetop, coffee maker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, and all the essentials. In-unit washer and dryer add self-sufficiency for longer stays. Secure parking is included.
Princes Wharf is one of Auckland`s most storied addresses. Built in 1929 and named after Admiral Earl Jellicoe, the wharf was for decades the city`s primary point of arrival and departure — the place where ships from around the world docked, and where generations of New Zealanders arrived, departed, and said their goodbyes. During the Second World War the wharf served as headquarters for United States forces in the Pacific. The shed buildings that line the wharf today are the survivors of that era — long, beautiful warehouse structures sympathetically converted into apartments, restaurants, and bars by Leuschke Group Architects in 1998, one of Auckland`s most celebrated waterfront regeneration projects.
Today Princes Wharf is home to Somm wine bar and restaurant, Wahlburgers, and a collection of waterfront dining and drinking venues that make the wharf one of Auckland`s most enjoyable evening destinations. The New Zealand Maritime Museum is immediately at the base of the wharf — one of the most rewarding museums in Auckland and a natural first stop for guests. Free public viewing decks at the end of Shed 23 offer panoramic harbour views available to all.
The entire apartment is yours — both bedrooms, both bathrooms, kitchen, open-plan living and dining area, dedicated workspace, expansive covered deck with Harbour Bridge and Maritime Museum views, and one secure car park.

Princes Wharf occasionally hosts large cruise ships at the adjacent berth. When a vessel is in port, the wharf becomes busier than usual during the day. Arrivals and departures are publicly listed on the Port of Auckland schedule and we are happy to advise on upcoming visits if this is something you would like to plan around.
