The living room furniture was very uncomfortable, but that was the least of it.
This apartment looked like it had never been properly cleaned. Clumps of hair on the dining room floor, for instance. The stove looked so greasy and dirty I did not want to use it. There were disheveled personal belongings crammed into drawers and closets everywhere. Also a huge pile of clothing and other personal stuff on the bedroom closet floor, all covered by a sheet, piled so high that I could not reach to hang up or retrieve my clothes without a lot of trouble.
I returned home with a painful contact dermatitis rash on my neck which is still not completely gone, I think because of the general uncleanliness of this apartment.
Staying there was a huge mistake.
