We could not have picked a better hotel and location! The manager at the hotel was wonderful and very accommodating and totally took care of us as far as where to go and what to do and then took care of our transportation to the airport on the last day. The area was outstanding as it was an easy walk in any direction to get to restaurants and shopping and also you are right at the base of the acropolis. When we go back, we will definitely stay at the same place.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Plaka Arch Suites! From the moment we arrived, the host, Mr. Thanos was amazing — so friendly, helpful, and genuinely kind. Communication was top-notch the entire time, and he even helped us organize a ride to the cruise port on a day when there was a national strike. He also facilitated the return of a very sentimental item that we had left at the hotel. Truly an exceptional host that went above and beyond! The accommodation was large, spotless, and super comfortable, with all the little extras like toiletries in case you forgot something. Breakfast was great too — lots of fresh and tasty options to choose from. The location couldn’t have been better — walking distance to the Acropolis and historic sites, close to great restaurants, shopping, and the Hop On/Off buses. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Athens. Highly recommend the Plaka area and this hotel to anyone visiting this beautiful city!

A quaint hotel in the heart of Plaka the old district. Walkable to the ancient sites. View of the Acropolis from our small balcony. Not a pretentious property but clean, neat and you feel like your guests in someones home. Great ammenities. The staff was fabulous and very attentive. They stored our bags for two nights before we arrived for a last minute to Santorini at no charge. The owner has a gelato shop downstairs which was heavenly. Walkable to the large Market place. The only suggestion I would make is to install a handrail on the steps off the elevator. Thank you for your kindness abd suggestions on local cuisine in the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Plaka Arch Suites. The attention to detail and staff friendliness were superb. The hotel was in a fantastic location with stunning views of Acropolis from our private terrace with hot tub. Breakfast was amazing and cooked to order. Thanos, the hotel manager, was extremely accommodating and let us check in earlier. He also arranged transportation back to airport. We will only stay at Plaka Arch Suites if ever back in Athens. Highly recommend!!!

The Excelsior Terrace Dream Suite wonderful -- was just as advertised, but note that the terrace is on the roof top up a set spiral stairs. It was great and fairly secluded, and not difficult to access, as long as you can handle stairs. The hotel is in easy walking distance to shops and restaurants, but on the edge of that busy district, so not as loud a neighborhood as those more central to nightlife.

Reception is the gelato shop. Very clean, big and remodeled room. Beautiful neighborhood with restaurants and shops. Very friendly staff, good breakfast with hot order to made omelets. The only thing is there is no access to rooftop or hot tub unless you book the top floor.

My husband and I went with 2 other couples. We each had our own rooms and we all loved our stay at Plaka Arch Suites. It was clean and in a great location. The owner was very friendly and accommodating.
