Gorgeous house inAtenas
For reference we stayed in Atenas Costa Rica April 14th through April 19th.
The house is gorgeous, and the view from the backyard is stunning. On two separate occasions toucans came to the tree in the backyard to feed on the berries. We also had 6 head of cows/ bulls wander up one morning while we enjoyed coffee on the back porch.
The late afternoons did get warm, but we just cooled off in the pool. We did not see any rain while we were there. The nights do cool down, but was still a little warm for sleeping.
Driving was an experience! The roads are very narrow and congested.
The hosts were very helpful planning several tours for us. We really enjoyed the coffee farm tour.
We did get lost several times In the neighborhood. The roads and driveways all look the same and street signs are minimal. We had to go back to the gate house and ask for directions. They have a map of the neighborhood that we were able to take a picture of, which was extremely helpful.
The people of Atenas are super friendly and gracious.
Overall it was a fabulous vacation in Costa Rica!
