This rustic and slightly dilapidated cabin was cozy, private, and very near the entrance to Mt Rainier Nat’l Park. :) The linens & towels were all very nice and clean, however, we would suggest using fragrance free laundry soap. The pillows were nice and the beds were comfortable, but on the firm side. The kitchen was missing any oven mitts and good cutting knives. We didn’t feel like the water was a strong mineral flavor, but then we ‘re on a well at home ;). The fireplace may be its best feature, but no wood provided. It was generally comfortable, however, we thought it a little over priced. When we walked in, onto a thread-bare carpet, the floor beneath gave way under our feet. The bathroom cabinet needs an upgrade. (See pics) The front side of the cabin is definitely settled so the floor is not level, making us feel off-balance walking down the hallway! The bedroom doors are propped open with door stops for this reason, or they would close of their own accord. The driveway access to the cabin was a bit sketchy and I can’t imagine doing it in winter. We’ll be looking for a more updated cabin next time we head to Ashford. Overall, we appreciated this stay on short notice. A sense of adventure and a sense of humor is needed here!
